I have 2014 Civic LX model, which I got with 26 miles 7 years ago. I’m kicking myself for not getting the upgraded one, but I have 83,000 miles, with 70% brake life on my original brakes and it still drives the same. It took seven years until my first repair, which was the serpentine belt. I’ve always had good luck with Honda’s. I’m so glad I got this car and will keep it until it either falls apart or when my kids start driving in 8 years. Great video!

I got a 2014 honda civic ex coupe yesterday.. and it's incredible, I love it. I went from a 2005 honda accord that had over 238,000k miles on it and it had many problems.. so definitely a upgrade.

That's the same exact Civic I have (i have the Canadian model). This car has 11 airbags as standard, LaneWatch as standard, and you can also go on the Bluetooth source and play any audio from there. It even shows your economy on the dashboard. The car can even access calls on third party communication apps via HandsFreeLink on the Bluetooth list. The key thing isn't just for the trunk, it also is for the entire car interior. The car also warns you if you have your headlights on when you open a door with the car off and it also won't let you park the car if it isn't in P and it even warns you on the screen if your parking brake is applied. If you slide down a hill in reverse gear (by going in the direction of D gear), the car turns off automatically as a safety feature. Your fuel and speedometer along with the economy bar is all digital.

Just bought a 2014 Honda Civic EX-L Sedan last month (August 2024) with 43k miles! Looks like it did when it was on the showroom floor!! Garage kept from Texas, I live in Ohio. Sold my 2020 Civic Si Coup 6 speed, 1.5 liter, 6 speed manual with 23,300k miles in July 2024. The Si was just too small for traveling all around the USA which is what I'm starting to do now. This Civic will be strictly a spring, summer, fall traveling/vacation car. Very happy with going from a 2020 Civic Coup (monthly payment) to a 2014 Civic Sedan free & clear with the extra $$ from the sale going into the market!!

Yes that Honda Link is the original version used on the Honda Accord. The New Civic uses The next generation Honda link is what the Civic uses. Droid is working with Honda and an app should be out soon.

Hi Jason, that was very interesting presentation about the smart key!! My question is we left the car unused for more than a month, the battery died we tried to jump the car but the start button didn't start the car even with press of the breaks, but showing a picture of the key - did we lose the code of the smart key? do we have to tow the care to the dealer, I hope not?? please advice, thank you-Nader

Hi Jason I have two questions regarding my Honda Civic 2014 Ex. 1. My keyless entry for driver side will not unlock the car but locks it fine. Passenger side keyless entry and locks works fine. What can be the problem behind it? 2. When my car is turned on, the gas consumption increases very much meaning it starts giving poor fuel efficiency. Please help me with these two questions.

If you want it to show on the cars screen you do need to have it pluged in all the time

Hey Jason the hdmi mirroring is that on android phones too or just iphone. The IPhone navigation mirroring sells this car to me.

Hey Joseph, Yes the mirroring will work with a Android. Please remember the mirroring only works in park. The Honda iphone navi works in drive and is mobile on your iphone.

Hey Jason i had a question i recently got the new 2014 Honda Civic EX-L Sedan and I've seen videos of Honda Civic with the Smart Key and they did a thing where they clicked the Unlock Button Twice and on the second click they hold it down for a couple seconds and all the windows roll down. I tried doing it on my honda earlier today and it didn't work. Does it not work on the EX-L? Do i have to change the settings on the car to make the trick work??

How do you see the temperature? I can’t seem to find the temperature anywhere. It shows the speed, gas, mileage but not temperature. How do you know if it is overheating.

Unfortunately there is no temperature gauge in this model of the civic. If your car overheats a red H icon will appear on your tachometer, signaling you to pull over. Same reason a blue C appears when you first turn the car on in cold weather, disappearing a few minutes later once the engine has heated up.
