2014 Jaguar XFR-S Review - Fast Lane Daily

The 2014 Jaguar XFR-S is packed with a supercharged V8 that makes 550-hp and 502 lb-ft of torque allowing for a 0 to 60 mph run of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph. I remember the first time I saw a xf... I said that's how a 4 door coupe should look.... and when I saw a xf r... I said that it looks like the best saloon car ever! And now I have a xf premium... silver on black 19.... quad exhaust and a deck spoiler.

Working from home today so got some time for COMMMENNNNNTSSSS!!!! (a la AK). Miles did an AWESOME job here--so many auto-reviewers are either too boring with specifications, or are WAY too enthusiastic in an attempt to emulate Clarkson--both end up failing in my book. Miles was both entertaining AND informative, which is no easy feat. I agree 100% with both the pros and cons listed: the wheel design is a low-point, the tech is underwhelming (though the powertrain makes up for it perhaps), and a GTI-esque steering wheel would be a fantastic (and relatively cheap) addition. GREAT review and hoping to see more!

I know years late comment BUT at 3:03 you left traction control on and only switched to track mode (checkered flag button) if you did both then im sure the car would scare you or most likely crash it since it reduces torque significantly with traction control on to keep inexperienced/overzelous drivers under control.

I just bought a 2014 with 5800 miles on it. I must say this review was spot on. I agree with his take-aways. Yes it needs a sport steering wheel which was the first thing I noticed missing. Next the wheels. My car is white with a blackout package and the wheels are much more suited to this car. It is aggressive but refined. Everyone that sits or rides in my car wants to "pet" it and they all love the show when the Start button is hit.

You can't really take points away from Jag for their lack of technology, their target demographic don't want more tech, my Granddad LOVES the infotainment in his XF8, yeh it's a little sluggish, but it's also deliberate, and he finds it even easier than my iPhone

Hey Miles Branman nice video, i enjoyed it very much. But when you said it can pretty much destory anything on the road. I have to disagree, my 13 BMW M5 F10 will murder it, my coz CLS AMG will aslo murder it. But don't get me wrong its a very good car indeed. I just don't like that fact its not a reliable brand, and im speaking from experence.
