M4miata - it was a pleasure watching your video. This has been my dream bike for a while, almost bought one few weeks ago, but it got sold before I got the money. Anyhow, since you're in the SF bay area, I'd love to see your bike. I am a member on Barf too, and many other local bike clubs. I had a CBR, which I sold last year. I'm sure this is going to be my next bike...

Hey! You will love the ZX6r!!! It is an awesome, fast, bullet proof, reliable motorcycle. I commute on it every day and do track days on it. It has +25,000 miles on it now and still running strong! I even low sided @ +45 MPH on Turn 14 at Thunder Hill and the bike still runs perfectly. Kawasaki did an amazing job with the bike! Worth every penny! And BARF is the best!!! :) -M4

Good review on the bike. I am fixin to get a 2014 zx6r hopefully once I get the go ahead from the dealership. How was the break in period on the bike, what all couldn't you do in break in, and how long did it take? Sorry for the swath of questions.
@M4miata9 жыл бұрын
Jeremiah Goble Thanks! Good luck with the bike! I hope you get it. The break in period was not bad at all. Ride it like you normally would. I actually rode it harder than I normally ride lol And keep the RPMs varying…meaning high median low rpm speeds. I guess you can say I don’t baby my sportbike. But so far this bike has been able to take all the abuse and 16krpm shifts and power wheelies all day long! And she still starts right up. 12,000 miles in 7.5 months….I really ride the wheels off the bike.

Sick bike !! Do you have any experience in riding other bikes before getting the ZXR6 636 ? Planning to get this as my first bike (never ridden any bike before this ) Is this bike too much for a beginner to handle ? By the way , you should definitely post videos of you riding !
@M4miata9 жыл бұрын
desmond leow Thanks! The first bike I rode was my buddy's 06 636. Rode it for a couple of days. I fell in love with it. Next bike I rode was the POS 250 at the MSF class. Next bike was my 2014 zx6r lol The bike is extremely easy to ride! I taught my friend how to ride a motorcycle on this bike. It was his first time ever on a motorcycle. Within an hour or so of riding he was very comfortable ride the bike. Lol With ABS, 3 levels of traction control, slipper clutch and a perfect transmission, it is very very very hard to fuck up on this bike. You have to be doing something really really stupid to eat shit on this bike. Just make sure to take it slow and go at your own pace and be careful on group rides cuz that’s when you start riding outside your skill level. Good luck!

Hey man! I have a new '14 636 and have put about 2000 miles on it and I've put an M4 exhaust on it and took the baffle out and it sounds insane! You have to get a servo buddy to bypass the servo of course but if you havent installed one yet I have an extra one ya can have. Also, I was wondering how you reflashed the ECU? Custom tune or plug-n-play? I'm 210lbs so I need at little more pep. LOL! I'm also thinking of getting a sprocket set maybe 1 down in the front and 2 up in the rear. You'll have insane bottom end torque but wll loose some top end but coming out of the corners is intense and who really needs to go 165mph?... Well on the street at least. LOL! You input would be greatly appriciated man! Also, did you go with the Sena 10C Bluetooth Headset & Camera or something else? Thanks for the uploads stay safe and have fun bro! Looking forward to talking with ya man!
@M4miata8 жыл бұрын
+Chris Hodges sup bro! Congrats on the new bad ass bike! I love the year ;) Thanks for the servo offer but I got the ECU flashed by Lees and in the flash they took care of the whole servo thing so I didn't need one when I got the ECU flashed. I sent my ECU to the Lees, they asked me what I wanted then they sent me back the flashed ECU and installed it on my bike. Easy mod with lost of power gain. Here is the link to get your ECU flashed (www.leesperformance.com/flash-ecu-kawasaki/).I will probably do the larger gear in the back one day. But I weigh 135lbs and bike accelerates hard enough already. I still have to fight with the damn thing to keep the front wheel on the ground when I drag race it. But Once I get my fz09 as my daily commuter Ill use this bike for a full race bike and install the larger gear in the back. But I agree with you. Even on a hi speed track like Thunder Hill East, I still don't touch the 165mph so why have it? lol But I did get close one time....150mph. But I would rather have more acceleration than top in. Plus WHEELIES!!!! :D and Yes I use the Sena 10c. I love it! Here is a link to my BMW s1000rr test ride at Laguna Seca Race track with the 10c so you can see the quality. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqi1YZl7fLJqgrM) GOOD luck and if you haven't already take you bike to the track! You will soon see why this bike is killing the 600 class all over the world. lol

Great vid really enjoyed it. I test rode the 636 but was unsure due to the comfort in the city do you do lots of city commuting how do you find comfort?
@M4miata8 жыл бұрын
+The Incredible Sulk Thanks! And I put 15k miles on this bike per year and 98% of those miles are commuting in the city/highway. It very comfortable for being a sport bike. After +1 hours of non stop riding u will want to take a break. I think it very conformable compared to an r6 or ducati 899. But comfort is totally subjective and you gotta find what motorcycle fits your body shape. Go sit on as many bikes as you can. Ask people or friends to sit on their bike. Eventually you will land a on a bike that just feels like home!Good luck! -M4

Couple things bro, for my first bike I'm considering a zx6r and your definitely helping lol but how much is insurance for your bike and have you had a passenger on yet?
@M4miata9 жыл бұрын
21javante 1st bike, zx6r, age 25, clean driving record and just got M1 I pay $600 per year full coverage with AAA. Make sure you ask about their discounts and get the multi-car policy! And Yes I have been 130 with the lady on the back the bike is still fast and still easy to ride fast. It still stupid fast with the lady on the back! 636 has more than enough power! Good luck! Don't let insurance be the MAIN factor in your decision on a bike.
@21javante9 жыл бұрын
M4miata Not bad, I will keep that in mind. How was it riding with a passenger? Comfy?
@M4miata9 жыл бұрын
21javante its ok for the first hour or so then it starts go take its toll. Lol if u plan on doing a lot of long distance 2 people riding a sportbikes might not be the best bike cuz your passenger will late u after the first 2 hours......probably a more standard upright bike would be better like the Yamaha fzo9. But if your doing a lot of short 2 people riding around town then the sportbike is fine. Good luck!

Is the friction zone easy to find on the 2013 zx6r 636 ? & is it easy to where you won't stall a lot ? & what bike would you say is the most easiest to find the friction zone on ?
@M4miata9 жыл бұрын
***** No trying to sound bias but my bike has a easy to pull clutch and easy to find friction zone. It feels like a Sv650. I know this cuz I rode my friends 2015 Ducati 899 and that thing has an on and off switch for a clutch (its a race bike). When u ride my bike u have a good amount of clutch pull before the clutch engages. Hope this helps!

I am currently on a ninja 250 and it's pretty easy through traffic and as a daily driver. I will be using the zx6r as a daily driver as well.
