Just got me the 2014 Mazda 3, 4 door sedan 2 days ago. Its so fun, and a head turner for sure. Looks great in black, with black interior. Classy and mean/sporty. Its my 3rd Mazda now, and I see myself sticking with this company for years if they keep up this level of quality and price.

I just took the five door one for a test drive and was pleasantly surprised, and this is coming from someone who currently drives a regular four door sedan. The Mazda3 is very comfortable, responsive, and the interior blew me away! Quality design and materials. The practical but stylish design works for me.

The "ipad" style screen is up there because it's MUCH safer to have it as close to eye level as possible. This was more of a promotion for Mazda than a review. This nerd-turned-reviewer isn't working. Easy on the new words like "twizzle" instead of torque. These cars are extremely reliable and when you learn it amounts to 30% of their sales, you know the engineers took their sweet ass time with it. Should be a quality product.

If you're referring to around the 2:23 mark, he said "twist" not "twizzle", which is definitely not a new word.

Absolutely makes Civic and Corolla look like old cars. I am a huge Honda fan and own a BMW now, but Mazda has done it right. The CX-5, 6, and now the 3 look so sexy and get GREAT mpg, why would you buy anything else? My next car will probably be a Mazda 6.

I've had my 2014 Mazda 3 iTouring for two weeks. It's a dream--drives great, looks great and I'm getting 32.6 mpg combined city/highway. It was a tough call choosing among the 2014 Kia Forte (amazing interior, great handling); the 2014 Hyundai Elantra (great gas mileage and refined interior); and the Mazda. But very happy with my decision to go Mazda.

The US variants offered are 2.5 & 2.0 litter naturally aspirated Skyactiv engine. Europe has a diesel version that has smaller engine that gets 65+mpg! I have a 2.5 that at 70 mph cc on, gets 40+mpg! In sport mode with paddle shifters and no spare tire 0-60 under 7 secs! Handling on par with Miata just bit heavier has accelerometer turns amazing! . Yes this car is a luxury economy car that competes with BMW, Mercedes, Kia sport, Hybrids! 40+ mpg Zoom Zoom Mazda!

I do agree the screen is kind of an after thought, but the rest of the car is very appealing, and since I won't be getting the upgraded version with the screen it's no big deal for me. Can't wait to stop by a Mazda dealership and test it out, it's definitely the most appealing car in this price range.

I don't know about you guys, but I had the 2.2 Diesel Bi-Turbo engine here in Europe and that engine did justice to this car! After a standard software optimization I had 470 N/m torque and 190 hp

I have owned the I Grand touring model of this car for a week now, and I am glad I love the car. I didn't pay 30k for it, but the interior makes it feel like i paid more for it. I love the bose system that came with model. The car handles really well and I was concerned a bit because I opted for the 155 hp rather than the 185 hp model, so i didn't think i have enough power, but gotta say it still has a good amount of kick to it. I also am glad they redesigned the look of this car. Compare the 2014 to all the other years, and this one definitely looks a lot nicer. Great car!

who the hell doesnt like the knob control!? I get how some dont like the screen, me personally, I dig it. Would be cool if it would retract into the dash, but not something I think is that big a deal. Also what a weird statement on the dash gauges. The only thing I find strange, is on the i version, the center stack is MPH gauge, even with Manuel. and in the '14 S the RPM guage is in the center stack, even though all are auto trans. Great looking car IMO. best in the class. has some quirks, (Rims on I models, Seat fabric options) but not the things he seemed to mention.

I personally liked the 2010-2011 body style , then it got similar refresh in the 2013 model. but in the refresh they made all the sharp corners softer, making it look less aggressive. with this 2014 model adopting the new Mazda style does work in the front, but the rear isn't much too look at and the interior is a step back. also with the new mazada style most of their cars blend with other company's with their larger grilles

Glad they eliminated the grin on the grill. The Mazda 3 was going to be my next car until they did that. I agree that the navigation display comes off as an awkward afterthought. Reminds me of the Sony Dash. And it doesn't fold down? I could understand it's "digital picture frame sitting on the dash" look if it disappeared when not in use. Otherwise looks like a solid car. It should continue to sell well although I think some buyers will choose the CX5 over the 3.

It is a cheap-shot at the old idea of Heads-Up Display that existed on some vehicles in the 90s. Some premium brands like BMW and Lexus are beginning to integrate this feature in their lineup, but they are direct to windshield (which is the way its meant to be, IMO).

@BorisTerekidi10 жыл бұрын
I think the reason why they had to design the new Mazda3 was because since they initially launched Mazda3 in 2004, not much has changed. The competition was making lots of progress and Mazda was just sitting there, pushing the same thing for years and years. I had a 2004 Mazda3 and I got a rental 2013 model (while my primary car is being repaired). Sadly, there is not a single feature in the 2013 model that is better than 2004. They changed a few things just so they can sell it as new, but overall - it's exactly the same car. Oh.. the interior became more complicated. That being said, the new car looks really really nice.
