The quicker method would have been to start with placing the short extension in the tensioner hole when placing the belt on. This is a pretty easy job overall. Donate to Channel: paypal.me/elvr...

Thanks for the appreciation. I sold this car several months ago, so I don't have any more content on it.

people need to run the car so us regular ass folks can hear what a shitty belt sounds like. Thanks!

Hey buddy did you happen to ever replace the alternator? I’m basically there but I need to remove the tensioner to get to the 2nd screw it’s a nightmare right about now

Is the new belt the same size? I need a belt a half inch shorter because I’m doing an alternator upgrade

I used an oem replacement that was the correct size. I don't recall comparing the sizes side by side.

I'm responding to this only because I don't want anyone to be conflicted by your statement. I owned this car for 7 years and did all of the maintenance myself. It's a 3.5 SL trim package with the VQ35DE engine (v6). I couldn't tell you what the prior generation v6 (4th gen 2007-2012) engines belt set up was, but mine is the 5th gen v6 (2013-2018).
