2014 Nissan Altima 3.5L serpentine belt replacement

The quicker method would have been to start with placing the short extension in the tensioner hole when placing the belt on.
This is a pretty easy job overall.

Hey buddy did you happen to ever replace the alternator? I’m basically there but I need to remove the tensioner to get to the 2nd screw it’s a nightmare right about now

I used an oem replacement that was the correct size. I don't recall comparing the sizes side by side.

The 4 cylinder is different set up 2014

I'm responding to this only because I don't want anyone to be conflicted by your statement. I owned this car for 7 years and did all of the maintenance myself. It's a 3.5 SL trim package with the VQ35DE engine (v6). I couldn't tell you what the prior generation v6 (4th gen 2007-2012) engines belt set up was, but mine is the 5th gen v6 (2013-2018).
