I wonder if your fuel milage would be greater if you combined this with a street tune from a reputable tuner. I've seen trucks gain anywhere from 3-6 mpg increase on just a good tune. Looking to put this on my 04 hd and see if it helps me any

I have a question regarding the drivability of your Jimmy after the install. I too have a 14 Jimmy and I love the truck, I did however buy it used at 21,000. As of yesterday the truck has a fresh oil change and has just turned over 28,000 and I installed the Moroso catch can and test drove it. Maybe it's the placebo effect but the truck idles even better and the drivability is different as well. Throttle response seemed better and now the AFM is totally seamless. The transition between V8 and V4 seems like it doesn't even happen. Your thoughts and follow up please and I will do the same as well.

thanks. I'm installing one on my 2001 super charged 5.3 this week,

You dont need one on an 01 5.3. They're not direct injection.

What did it smell like? After installing my supercharger, i drained my catch can i installed with supercharger and i got quite a bit and had a mixed smell.

Is this brand a good and effective catch can? I own a 2014 Silverado

I'm having trouble getting my head around those kind of mpg gains. GM would be climbing all over this product if it gives these kind of gains (20~25%) That said I will be installing this same CC this weekend on my 18 5.3 w/13k miles but for the reason of protecting my intake valves.

Have you ran e85? I've heard e85 can cause the milky foam in a catch can. Can you tell me how it's doing now?
@sbc_jake_96773 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna say that water is from condensation. He wouldn't be getting that good of fuel mileage on e85

So which catch can is better overall?

How about the test with the Tracy Lewis can??
@milkcrate827 жыл бұрын
+Tracy Lewis Performance I have about 300 miles left on the test. Roughly 3-4 weeks of driving left.

Weird the catch can got water? Good video I wonder how it got you 2mpgs better?
@milkcrate828 жыл бұрын
It was humid for a couple of days before I made this video. I think it's just condensation that got collected.
@jameshorrocks29395 жыл бұрын
Absolutely normal. Motors take in humidity. The can easily condensate and turn back into water. This is the reason people see better numbers in fuel economy.

Does this only work with that model engine? or any LS engine?
@freshkryp698 жыл бұрын
Any engine that uses manifold vac to evacuate the crank case..
@milkcrate828 жыл бұрын
This will work with any engine.
@gentilejoshsaved16468 жыл бұрын
what does this tell us?
@freshkryp698 жыл бұрын
Oil mist thats being evacuated out of the crank case is introduced into the fresh air intake charge.. Which contaminates the combustion, reducing the efficiency of the engine.
