Just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for your video. Recently someone tried to pry off my driver side tail light and broke the bottom of it out and then left it with the pieces on my driveway- along with the pry mark on the body underneath the taillight. There's been quite a bit of car vandalism in my neighborhood recently, very sad. As a widowed 73 year old woman, I find it challenging to try to navigate these things by myself but I'm determined to be self-sufficient. So your video was wonderful and gave me the confidence to try to do this myself. I ordered an OEM part off of Amazon because in the long run the cost of ordering it from some other suppliers when I paid the shipping and tax was going to be the same or more and I figured with Amazon I could return it if it didn't work out at no cost. It only took me probably about 3 to 5 minutes to do this following your video and most of that time was just trying to get that one stubborn clip off. It works perfectly looks great and I was just want to thank you for helping this old lady get this done.❤

Why not install LED bulbs whilst you're in there? I did all on my 2005 Toyota Corolla and what a massive difference.

Way ahead of u. I hooked him up with led bulb upgrades from reputable brand I recommend. For his interior will be 5 pair package of Auxito - 14E series T10 white led bulbs. For his exterior, front turn signals, rear turn signals, license plate lights, and reverse lights will be a reliable sylvania zevo led bulbs. And front side markers is Philips - ultinon amber T10 led bulbs. They are not designed to be the brightest, it’s design to be as a settled and forgetted led bulb replacement, for increase reliability, longevity, and a little brighter than stock. He already upgrade with led for his interior. And license plate lights. But I give him a better upgrade from again, a reputable brand.

I replaced most of the cars incandescent bulbs with LEDS in an earlier video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqOyoYBpfbqJl9Usi=_7YAkjo8-vjg_PwM Unfortunately, replacing the tail lights or the turn signals with LEDS would cause them to hyper-flash. @ToyotaBrony did bring me some other sets to try. The turn signals still hyper-flashed and I still have to try the new set of leds for the tail lights. A lot of newer cars have a CANBUS electrical system which can cause some issues when upgrading to LED lights.

Thank you Strana! I'm trying to find a totalled Honda Fit to purchase and document taking it apart bolt by bolt. I reached out to some other Honda Fit owners with after market tail lights and they are not plug and play. "My particular headlights had resistors on them, and they're not exactly plug and play. I had to use T-taps to connect the reverse and parking light I believe. It's been awhile since I've taken them off. I recommend getting connectors so it becomes plug and play. I just went the quick route" @GarbageKart_5 on IG

Question: this is for a 2019 xl… same assembly, it appears. It looks like the top lights (break and tail) can’t be replaced by individual bulb, only the blinkers and reverse bulbs can, am I correct here? I’m looking at buying a new assembly for my wife’s fit, and wanted to make sure I’m not way wrong first.

I believe you are correct, but I'm not 100% sure. I do think it is a prewired LED and you will need to replace the whole assembly. I'll have to add the 3rd brake light removal video to the to-do list.

Hi, Is it possible to replace just the outer casing? The lights are still working but the red plastic has been cracked

Yes, but it is a extensive process. You'll need to use a heat gun to melt the adhesive that makes the red casing stick to the tail light housing. Then you'll have to perfectly attach the new red casing (If you can order that separately?) It's probably more cost effective to buy a whole new taillight or find one at the junk yard. Most people taking apart their head or tail lights are doing so to customize the lighting. Try searching for "baking headlights" or "baking tailights"

I'm still in the process of modifying lights so I can include some before and after shots. My car is at 90k miles so the spark plug and coil pack will need to be changed soon. Hi Norman, Are you talking about the turn signal bulbs? I'm not quite sure what you are referring to when you say bubble?

​@HondaFit4Adventure there are 3 bulbs inside a 2017 Honda Fit, you only pulled out 2 bulbs. One was the bottom which is turn signal, middle is back up light, and top is actual break light bulb. Which is not a twist out. I was wanting to replace that one.

@@mnorman1572 I believe the top brake light is already LED and built into the tail light housing. You can not change these lights out without replacing the tail light housing.

Working on it. Since my garage isn't that tall, it would have to be placed in the back. This way my car would clear the garage door opener.
