+Chris F do you love it ?
@MrFatty2398 жыл бұрын
I love everything except the roush tune. It pretty much sucks. If you get on it, it sets off the max torque limiter and puts the car in limp mode so its barley drivable until you shut it down a restart it. So you have to get a different tune. I barley went 60 mph and less than 5000 rpm when this happened.
@Zerogivengarage8 жыл бұрын
Is your car a manual? sounds like the clutch protection mode might be kicking in although that should go off once you shift gears. The early tune had an issue with limp mode but that was when the kit was new and was fixed quickly by Roush.
@MrFatty2398 жыл бұрын
It is a manual. Doesn't go off when switching gears. its giving me code P061B. got my tune in march...is that the early tune? Another problem is I cant get a hold of Roush, by phone, email, live chat, to ask them! Any help Bill is appreciated!

Bill Tumas I agree. They are the most thorough and practical I've seen, done by someone who is clearly an experienced and talented tech, as opposed to some goofball Hollywood type (AmercianMuscle). My only critique, (most people won't care, but sound for film is something I studied) is the music always playing in the background. It's a bit distracting and can be tiresome. Great job, though! I still don't know if I'll try this job myself on my new GT, though!! I'm worried I'll hurt her, and I really just think a pro will do a better, cleaner job.

@RobertKohut10 жыл бұрын
Since this is a repost I guess I'll repost my comment from the original, the best I can remember. Firstly glad to see you caught the blower belt on the wrong side of the upper idler pulley....LOL. Also it must be major surgery to replace the blower belt when required since it looks like the bracket would need to be removed. Secondly I don't like the Roush requirement for the ECU to be sent to them for re-flash. The first reason is the stock tune is now unavailable to the end user which may cause some complications for returning the car to stock or purchasing a handheld tuner. I'm not sure, but I think a handheld needs to "marry" with the car using the stock Ford strategy. Second reason is if the end user wants to change gear ratios or tire sizes not having a handheld for user adjustable configurations makes the changes not very practical in the sense of speedometer calibration etc. The Ford Racing Whipple kit and others I believe provide for a handheld for the re-flash providing the end user the optimum in customization options for future upgrades. A great kit though and seems like a weekend with pizza and beer would be a reasonable estimate for installation. Also not sure, but it seems like Roush is still tuning "rich", for safety, since it appears a lot of black smoke is coming out the tail pipes. Thanks for the great video install and your '15 Mustang is making my '13 look bad...LOL...LOL

+andrew pulcini My supercharger has been great! I have around 9000 miles on it now, I installed the blower around 750. I have had zero problems except for a slight overheating issue hot lapping the car on a road course when it was 102 degrees out which was my own fault. Roush recently came out with a free upgrade to take the kit from 627 to 670 hp for no charge. I don't recall having any additional heat in my cup holder area.

+CJ Pony Parts sweet :) can't wait to have it installed in the spring :) also did you decide to purchase the additional warranties that roush offers? and if so how much more do they charge for it? thx again :)
@chad38019 жыл бұрын
+andrew pulcini, If you're serious about putting a supercharger on it i'd say take a look at the whipple supercharger. I've installed both a whipple and a roush supercharger on 2015 mustangs. The whipple does not require Griding and modifying your timing cover or valley to fit the belt routing and the inter cooler. Also having put both on the dynojet dyno the whipple's tune is a better tune, although i reccommend getting a custom dyno tune in your area. The whipple also makes more power and has lower IAT's. That said I'm a turbo guy but if i was going to to a supercharger i'd go with a whipple, i've installed lots of them and never had one fail. Good luck in your decision i hope this helps im not here to confuse you haha! If you have a question, feel free to ask!

I have a 2017 mustang GT 6 speed automatic. Do you have to build the auto tranny to match the power output? How much power is the auto tranny rated to withstand? 600whp is a lot. Hate to blow my trans. Also if the transmission is capable of hold 600 hp is this a reliable build? Can I still use my car daily maybe beat on it once in awhile? Will it hold up

Bill are you going to make a video install of the 727HP kit for Roush Supercharger???
@Zerogivengarage8 жыл бұрын
+Sam Arce Install is identical with the exception of the fuel pump booster.

Plz cj do a nitrous install on the s550 want to buy a kit and do it myself would like a quality video to follow though. Do you have any plans to do a video of this type

+Ali Bazzi We don't have any plans at this time.

+Bill Tumas can the strut bar be reinstalled at all ?
@AlexHaidarXO9 жыл бұрын
+Jay D I won't fit. I think it might fit if you welded it or something to clear the supercharger. I know a lot of people are going procharger and turbo on the s550 so they aren't having this issue.
@demolaj19 жыл бұрын
what if you added a bunch of washers to raise it ? or Is the issue the hood?
@AlexHaidarXO9 жыл бұрын
+Jay D I think if you added washers it might defeat the purpose of the sway bar because the washers will probably flex. if you took it to a shop and had it welded at a higher angle to where it cleared to supercharger it should work and still stiffen the chassis.

Great video providing a much needed visual for this install!!! A couple of iffy parts, but I'm sure someone with half a brain can figure them out. My concern on this Roush install is cutting that 'K' Brace. There is a reason for that 'K' Brace and I'm not only looking for straight line speed and acceleration, but also front suspension stability while executing a slalom/road course. Not to mention, it looks so ghetto when you re-install that 'K' Brace even though it has been painted. Really, the only unprofessional mod of this whole install! Questions: 1. Is there another option such as a modified 'K' Brace? Does Whipple require this modification to the 'K' Brace as well? 2. Will Roush come out with a tune for an automatic GT? Seems kind of strange that they don't have one yet.
@Zerogivengarage9 жыл бұрын
Luigi Chincochento The K brace just adds additional support, several models do not even come with it. These modern chassis are so strong they really don't need it, I saw zero drivability changes without it. I went with a Steeda G force lower brace to tie things together up front. Whippled keeps the K brace but also gets rid of the strut tower brace. Roush said the tune is coming soon.

i have a 2014 gt, and i can't find a pdf from roush or any reputable guys on youtube like yourself. how similar would you say the instal on your 2015 gt is to the 2014?
@Zerogivengarage8 жыл бұрын
It is similar, there are some changes though but if you watch this video and follow the Roush instructions you should be fine.

You stated that the strut brace would not be reused. I've got a 2013 gt that I've been wanting to do this upgrade to. I was wondering if it's possible to use the brace in conjunction with the supercharger? Since you removed it, have you noticed any handling differences?
@Zerogivengarage7 жыл бұрын
I have not noticed any difference at all. I don't know of any braces that will clear the hood and the supercharger.

theres one part in this video where the supercharger belt is fed the wrong way around the idler pulley, they fixed it at the end

Bill quick question, lets say I also went with this Supercharger and later decide to add some headers, would I have to resend the computer to Roush to have them do some sort of tune or is it not necessary?
@Zerogivengarage9 жыл бұрын
+iceagerevenge Plenty of people have added headers with the Stage 1 and been fine with the supplied tune. That being said Roush does not offer a tune for headers and I would suggest getting a custom tune if you do add them.

+Bill Tumas Thanks! How important would it be to upgrade the clutch after supercharging it? I hear many clutches start slipping cause of it
@Zerogivengarage9 жыл бұрын
+iceagerevenge I plan on an upgraded clutch in the future but I have 9500 miles on it how and no issues.

CJ Pony Parts lower intake fuel charging assy, can you remove lower intake intercooler for a better one or is it made into lower intake
@cjponyparts6 жыл бұрын
You can add different heat exchangers but there is no lower intercooler upgrade I am aware of.

Any chance you got a boost gauge yet? Just looking for options. Thanks for the reply
@Zerogivengarage10 жыл бұрын
I am a little pissed at Ford about the whole boost gauge thing. If you get a non performance pack car you have a factory BOOST and Vacuum gauge in the cluster. If you get a PP they give you a Vacuum gauge on the dash, but no boost. I really want a factory style gauge so I have been researching getting the factory one to work in the cluster somehow or the dash gauge from the performance pack Ecoboost. The EB gauge is $1300 though since you have to buy the whole panel.
