I put these on my truck 2 months ago. I found out not drilling that hole tends to make these very flimsy when mud accumulates on them. Im sure all the weight from snow will have the same effect. I was hesitant to drill into my new truck but its almost a necessity if your anything more than a road princess.

I had them on for over a yr through many snow storms and mud and i can say those mud flaps armt going anywhere or being damaged without the extra on top. No need to drill at all

@@buffalobmf i have as well and ive noticed the plastic push pins tend to pull loose. I constantly check them and find that they loosen on their own without mud or snow hitting them. Ive also came close to losing the metal retainer clip before too.

I put these husky mats on my 2019 f150 today. . Looks good and install was fairly easy. However the 3m tape stuff does not hold. I drilled the extra hole in each mat which to me it has to have. Fit was great tho

Quick question ? I have two wheel well guards also from Husky for the rear wheel wells. Should I put the mud flaps on first or the wheel well guards on first ? Thanks

On a 2022 f150 on the rear it only has one plastic rivet.

Will those steel screws in the aluminum body cause an issue over time????

Ehh. Should be ok. If you want just spray paint it and dip it in some motor oil. And ford uses steel rivets in the aluminum from factory so dont worry about jt😂

Is this same install on 2021? Also, what about the paint protection film described on the Husky install video?

Not the same install but very similar. Definitely less secure with the new 21 kit. I'd look elsewhere. Very very disappointed with mine.

The protective film is cut out very poorly. Not impressed with durability without drilling. Pretty sure I'll end up finding some screws to go in my set. Gonna see how the first winter goes. Those clips fit horribly. The 21 set has 1 screw in the friggan rear. They even molded them to fit around you Xmas tree so you can even ad a screw there without a gap or filling it. So one screw and some 3m tape and some paint scratching clips up top. If you bought these already bite the bullet and just drill into your new truck. Then they'll be fine. Leaving this comment for anyone thinking about these for their 21 f150.
