LOL. After growing up in the 80’s and being a v8 guy myself, the Buick GN V6 helped me mature to where I am today. Proud owner of a Camaro 2.0L LTG turbo and Mustang 2.3 ecoboost turbo. Thanks Buick for helping me through the v8 only period in my life.

I’m a little late to this comment but I recently bought a 2.3 mustang and absolutely LOVE it. Super fun to drive, I can keep up with the 5.0s all day since it’s tuned. Great mpg too!

This guy would be a great option! And honestly for an axle-back, Pypes Street Pro Touring is a great choice for a daily driver as well! Has a nice deep tone and you hear the turbo a lot more too. I used to own a 15 ecoboost. I couldn't afford a V8 and when I could I bought one. Don't sweat people saying you should have got a V8. I heard that all the time. I loved my ecoboost. Its an awesome car and can sound good depending on the upgrades. It's a great way to get used to the mustang as a first timer. But.....don't throw away thousands of dollars trying to make it sound good and making it fast. At that point you might aswell save and get the V8. At a point I was close to spending soooo much to improve it but you have to think logically. It's really not worth it. It's still an awesome car. I love all mustang family. Just be smart. The V8 will hold its value better, so don't go all out on mods. A few are ok but don't go broke trying to fix it up.

Totally agree with this. I had the money for a GT but wanted the nimbleness and better turning capabilities of the eco-boost. Not to mention you do get more efficient mpg and on the highways the difference is visible! I've had a list of mods I wanted to spend all my money on upgrades for my new baby but decided to just keep it and keep saving up for the future in case I decide to ever change to the 5.0 or 5.2. That green doesn't grow on trees!

To be honest these sound clips don't do justice. I had the Roush Axle-Back fitted to my Mustang 2.3T this week and the transformation has exceeded my expectation. In real life the sound is more refined and, well, just better than the impression given in this ad: it has a lovely rumble at idle and low revs that doesn't come through on any of the KZbin clips, which you can 'feel' from the driver's seat (windows up or down). Then up around 5k + revs, it really sings out.....in the recordings it tends to sound a bit raspy and yeah, 'fart-can' but not so when you experience it in person. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner as it fixes the only real problem with the stock model, which is a complete absence of a sound-track that you would expect with 317HP. I know that its a sensory thing, but the car now 'feels' more powerful, faster and responsive as a result of what is a very simple mod.

Honestly, it's hard to get a real "experience" of how any sort of exhaust system sounds just from a video. BUT, a video is better than nothing or only just showing our customers a picture of what a muffler looks like. I'm really glad you posted this review here for other interested viewers to read though, and I'm glad you're enjoying the exhaust! -Zach

Nope. No other mods, just the exhaust. Since it's a Y-Pipe, it's like he said, striaght-piping it. And since there's no restriction for the back pressure, it all fires out the tips. This is what's causing the backfire. I like it.

I think it's a bit over the top , the best way to go with these cars is the magnaflow street. I'm honestly surprised roush put there name on that , and it's not about hating the EcoBoost, one of my mustang's is a 17 premium performance package, it's a cool little car , but with that said , you do have to be mindful what you do to the exhaust system.

I've been through two of them on mine , the magnaflow street gives it a nice deeper tone without sounding like a Honda. And to explain it a little further I meant I would expect more from the people at roush. Not saying it's not made good , I'm just saying it doesn't sound all that great .

There is 100% an extra mod In the "Stock" clip, you can hear it in the exhaust. I Mean I have the Permuim Ecoboost, Is it the Stock Performance Package Ecoboost thats making the difference. Cause you can already hear like muffled crackling in the stock rev. my ecoboost doesn't sound like that

You'll definitely see a slight bump in horsepower! Any time you get less restriction for your turbo, you'll see an increase. You'll get more gains when pairing this exhaust with a tuner though. -Zach

MagicMichael85 yes they do very slight tho it sits somewhere around 5500rpm-6,000rpm when revving in park/neutral fixed with a simple stage 1 Cobb tune or performance pack 1 or 2 from roush
