I have this stage 2 kit installed in my 2018 wrx from a previous owner. It’s like a hate and love relationship for me.. the exhaust sounds great when the car is warmed up and especially when you want the car to go around 3-4 rpm’s. What I hate is starting it up in the cold because I live in MN with all the snow.. the start up is so loud that it upsets my neighbors lol but after about 30 seconds or so it calms down on startup like you said in the video.

Stages are kinda unknown. They don't really mean much. A stage 2 from one company/car is not the same as another stage 2. A few Saab manufacturers have a stage system. The only reason for stages is for kits. Stage kits make it easy to make power as they source/make and provide the parts.

@fawkesypoo8 жыл бұрын
The access port does, which is necessary for all of these mods.
@ItsMeRockyT7 жыл бұрын
No, the AP does NOT "Void" the warranty. The Stage 2 does NOT "Void" the warranty. What it DOES do it makes is easy for your dealer to deny a claim. But they have to prove the fault was caused by your mod.
@maximofreridr7 жыл бұрын
^^Been through this process with my old car. You will rarely, if ever win that argument. They can easily say "The car is modified for higher performance, and was driven as such." Therefore no warranty claim. It can be done, but its highly unlikely that you would win a warranty claim with anything modified beyond a catback exhaust and maybe an intake. Accessport probably not
@porkchopjefferson17287 жыл бұрын
Have you ever heard of small claims court? It doesn't matter how big a company is, you can always take them to small claims and make them PROVE you caused the problem. I know people always say "they're a big company so they have more attorneys" but that doesn't matter because in small claims both parties are heard by a judge only. There's no "legal team" needed, and if they can not PROVE that you caused the problem then a judge will usually rule in your favor. It's that simple. Most people are too lazy to even try. I believe a few legal fees are cheaper than a $10k repair bill, but that's just me.

Oh wow, awesome. I saw videos of you guys testing BOVs so i figured you had one of them on there. I recall you guys saying that the stock one might leak a little bit so would an aftermarket one be a good idea?

So far so good! Yes we tested, and didn't personally like the louder ones.

Yeah this setup sounds plenty good.

What is the target AFR for this tune?

How do I get your stage 1 tune since I got my port straight from cobb? Just installed it a couple hours ago and now found your videos.

Hey guys! Can you please tell me why your boost gauge doesn't seem to be in sync with your shifting and reading accurately? Is that because you flashed it?
@maperformance5 жыл бұрын
The boost gauge issues were unrelated to our tune or flash. The car was having issues reading to the stock gauge at the time.

I'm really thinking about getting the stage 2 kit but do you guys have any idea of engine reliability or how well the transmission will handle these numbers?
@maperformance8 жыл бұрын
We have been rocking this kit for around 8k miles and is daily driven! No problems whatsoever!

Clearly im late to the party... But loved and appreciated the vid and information, none the less. I'm currently waiting to get some work done to my 2015 GTi so i can trade it in and get BACK into a WRX. Between model years 2015-17. Will definitely be giving you a call/e-mail/FB stalk to discuss pricing and place an order.

Sounds great Jay! Looking forward to it. We do offer stage 2 packages for the GTI as well ;]
