No problem. Read the pdf a couple times and you should be able to do this easily. Main thing to remember is you basically need to have the hardware and power the usb. People over complicate this. I did too. Alphaodb is easy to use and you only need to accomplish what I said above. Good luck 👍🏾. I also have a 8.4 on the way. I will update with a new video when it arrives. ✌🏾

So I bought a whole center console from a salvage yard and it also had all the wiring harnesses in there, do I have to cut them and rewrite everything? Appreciate any help

I’m trying to go to the factory style console. I bought the pursuit model with some aftermarket console in it with the usb aux and the breakaway harness already in there. My car is a 016 and I got a 2011-014 console for it because I want to use the 11-14 mechanical cable shifter. The newer Chargers have the electronic shifters. Which is not compatible with my 5 spd Nag1 trans. So I’m in the middle of this mess if harnesses trying to make sense of it right now.

Good luck with that. I can't comment on the trans. part as I have no idea how that works. Just a FYI on the usb hub in the console, that usb hub will not work for Carplay or Android audio. Your gonna need the one in the video (unless it was replaced with a newer one at some point before you got it).

Check your vin in the linked page. www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Dodge Or if it has a hemi & is awd it is certainly a pursuit. From 2015 till now Awd with hemi only is available in pursuit models. Also this works with any Charger. Doesn't have to be a pursuit if that is your concern.

@Tyme Traveling no it won't charge as fast as a charger but yea it will work. If you notice in the video the usb plug comes from under the dash directly under the hvac controls. It is a square grey plug. This will allow you to charge your phone via usb.

Try car-part.com boss. Don't be foolish and pay a ridiculous amount on that website (Infotainment). If you do your due diligence, you can purchase a brand new from an online Dodge dealership for less than infotainment.

I don't care about NAV or XM or any of that. I have a Tazer I will program the best I can... just definitely want an 8.4 screen. What all is involved? Things I seen when I had my Challenger were, you needed 2018 or newer radio. Is that true?? The 7" you have, what year is it. I pick up my persuit tomorrow and will find out what cords it has. Looking at center consoles and such too. I like center shifter, but don't care to relocate that either. Any help appreciated.

@scoobyrogers the radio you are looking for is Uconnect 4C UAS. This is the 8.4 inch without Nav. 4C UAQ is with Nav. My radio is 7 inch. Works well, nice screen size and much cheaper on the secondary market. The 8.4 UAC & UAQ are going for big bucks. I can't remember the site but the price they sell them used you can buy them brand new. I am unsure what year radio to look for. I know 2015 definitely aint it. Android Auto didn't come to Uconnect till 2017. *I believe* The thing with buying them on ebay, most are not a radio at all, but a listing worded to seem as it is but really just a screen. This one of the reasons I went with the 7 inch. All of them has Android Auto & Carplay capabilities. 😁 No interest in performance pages and what not. On that note everything is explained in the video. More detailed explanation is in the pdf. Link to that is in the description.

Bruce Wayne 2015 Pursuit.. 5" screen..no antennas outside. I will take the radio out and see what connections I have. Main goal is 8 4, with Android auto. I d9nt care about the GPS nor XM. We have it, but can stream from phone. I've been looking and so much disinformation I got lost. Ugh. Wondering if I can add or need an antenna. Mine stated windshield antenna..idk if that's JUST for radio. I will read your replies and thank you for helping. I'll be back. Lol.

Hey Batman, do I still need to do the AlphaOBD steps if my car is already a 2017? My Pursuit is a 2017 and I bought a 2017 hub. It makes sense that you'd have to if it was a 2015-2016, but is a 2017 already preprogrammed to accept the hub?

Who tf is Batman. Lol 😆 🤣 😂 If your car didn't come with the usb hub that is used in my video, yes you need to program with Alpha. Year doesn't matter. The police usb hub is programmed to the vehicle differently. It is easy to see while using Alpha as it will show you your current configuration and other new options.

Hey Bruce, what black wire pin on the media hub connector is the ground? There’s a thicker one on the far right and a slightly thinner one on the left of the bigger one. I assumed it was the far right thicker one but my media hub isn’t getting power. The cigarette lighter is getting power so I know my breakaway cable is good. Happen to remember which one it is?

@@BruceWayne-ll5wl so I read through the PDF and it wasn’t, although I was right. It was the thicker black wire. For anyone reading, it’s pins one and four for power and ground. You also apparently can’t test the power output on the media hub without plugging in the USB type B into the radio. I thought it would at least give power to my phone so I could verify if I was right about the ground, but I was wrong. It wasn’t until I said fuck it if it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work, and I set the console into position and plugged in the USB type B that it decided to work. You also don’t need AlfaOBD to make CarPlay work. If you have a 2017 radio and a 2017 media hub and the radio already had CarPlay, it will just work right out of the box. I didn’t have to do anything beyond hooking the hub up to power and plugging it into the radio for CarPlay to work. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone struggling with it. I spent waaaay too long beating my head over the troubleshooting of the installation lmao

No. I got the carpet & leather seats from a wrecked charger. The rubber floor was in mines. It's easy to change. You can get used carpet pretty cheap. Check ebay or car-part.com.

If it is a pursuit, there is a good chance the console was installed by someone other than Dodge. I bet they didn't wire it up because they didn't know how or lacked the wiring needed. The good thing is you don't have to purchase a console 😁. Also to remove it is very simple. Good luck 👍🏾

To be a bit more clearer.... In short, all that really needs to be done is power the usb hub & accessory. If you have the parts you need. It's that simple. I will make a part 2 soon better explaining for those that may still need help.
