Thanks a ton for posting this!!! The only tip I have for people is that to remove the clamp on the radiator side, it is a crimp clamp, not a spring clamp. So it's a one-time use, clamp just take a screwdriver and open it up, then pull it off. After an hour of trying to compress it, I realized it was a crimp connector! It' a real bear to get to as well. Your solution seems to be working great! I was a little worried at first because the quick connector from Dorman was pretty loose, but it doesn't leak.

Just an FYI, for everyone, Chrysler discontinue that hose due to the failure for quick connect breaking. the author of this video is showing with the spring clamp that is the update part but not only that. the metal pipe they connects to has been also updated it runs all the way to the thermostat With another rubber shorter hose that it also spring clamps. as a temporary fix the broken quick connect it can be cut off and there’s enough slack on the hose to push it over the pipe and a worm clamp can be put on in his place. 68102127ae 68102127ae are the parts numbers

I took the broken part hose connector and cleaned it up(because I couldn't find the replacement anywhere), dried it out and glued it back together with JB weld. It lasted for about 3 months - but then it broke again. Great video. thank you for the tip and the replacement part number

Hey guys, great video by the way, for everyone with the vehicle Chrysler has discontinued the very Part, there is less headache if you order the entire outlet hose with the connector attached, it a bit more pricey, but the repair/installation is painless

I was driving to work today, and all the sudden I started noticing lots of smoke/steam coming out the back of my car while driving. I pulled over, and my car started to overheat. That same exact part I guess broke, and the hose was just flopping around and all my coolant was everywhere in engine bay. Had it towed to Chrysler dealership near me, and I guess tomorrow I’ll find out how much is gonna cost me. Thankfully I’m friends with one of the service department supervisors, so hopefully he can get me a decent price.

No, as the old connector piece is probably broken and stuck in the old hose. A new hose at the dealership will cost less than $30

There is no need for bleeding the system. Odds are as soon as the hose was disconnected you lost most of your coolant. Just re-fill the coolant to the recommended line. Run your engine for a bit and then add more if needed

Sorry I do not own this vehicle anymore. Ended up buying a truck. It worked just fine the rest of the time I owned the vehicle! Maybe someone here that used the same fix could vouch?

@@KPZvision Hey I appreciate you doing this video. I ended up calling the dealership and they have two revised part numbers for this repair. The hose you mentioned and there is a longer aluminum pipe crossover to the other side of the engine. Now with this being said this is the repair I made to eliminate the plastic coupler out. Another issue is that the refrigerant lines are in the way but can be carefully and slightly bent out of the way, meaning very slightly (Be very Careful). There were a few other things that needed to be done, and I will try and do a video of what I did to eliminate any failure point. Here are the part numbers if anyone needs them, and my closest dealer had them in stock. 68102127AE - TUBE: COOLANT INLET 68193963AB - HOSE: RADIATOR INLET I also bought the coolant from the dealer since it was cheaper than the parts store. In addition ask your dealer for a 2" spring clamp and a 1 7/8" for the radiator hose. I ended up using a worm clamp (I rather use spring clamp) but it worked fine.

@@AlexanderAwakened It ended up not being as bad of a job that it looked. I had to slightly bend the refrigerent line in order to get the hose where it needed to be. Be careful, very careful of the refrigerent lines while bending slighty, and you will be all good. It all worked out and has been about a year now.
