There's a plastic rivet that you can undo to move the carpet out of the way so you don't have to cram the air filter in as much. Look at around 3:41, just above the top footwell cover clip there's a darker plastic circle attached to the strip of carpet; that's the rivet. Happy clean air boys!

Great instructional video. I bought a Pure Flow filter and air freshener. It snaps on the filter. It looks like a tight fit from your video. Do you think the air freshener will fit in the space? Thanks from Cleveland, OH

Just got here after I read a comment from the service technician, "Before replacing Cabin Air Filter, I noticed the filter door completely missing and locking tab is broken." Now I have a fair idea what it looks like. It says $12 on Amazon. Not sure if a previous technician broke it, or forgot to install it during a replacement.

My wife has a celery Chrysler 200, these air filters shouldn’t be this difficult to change out, POOR design.

Always change oil, filters, and new tires if needed when buying a new car. Always want a good starting point.

Just changed the cabin air filter. car has 80 thousand miles. don't think it was ever changed. Pretty nasty looking.

It’s fine. It bounces right back. As long as you make sure it’s seated correctly it unfolds once it’s in the housing.
