In 2015 Hell Cat was the most power full Challenger ever made! The dual exhaust of the Hellcat's ceramic catalytic converters and 2.75-inch exhaust are tested to withstand over 1,900 degrees. 6.2 L HEMI is matched to a paddle-shifted (left-hand downshift/right-hand upshift arrangement) 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission-8HP90. The SRT comes with two keys a black and red. The black key is for daily driving limiting to 500HP. This is perfect for the bumper-to-bumper grind. The red key unlocks the full awe of 707HP Hell Cat. Throttle down g-force puts you back in the seat as the trans downshifts and the exhaust's electronic valves bypass the mufflers giving a hellish growl. Under full throttle that is music to the ears.
The Hell Cat has track braking with 15.4-inch, six-piston Brembo binders and in the rear, 13.8-inch vented rotors are complemented by fixed four-piston clamps.
The interior is inspired from 1971 Challenger. The shape of the dash and center console with tooled metal makes for a comfortable muscle car interior. The massive 8.4-inch Uconnect screen adjustable settings for active launch control, shift light rpm, steering firmness, suspension response, and electronic traction control. The central 7-inch instrument cluster screen can monitor any gauge like g-force, horsepower output, air/fuel ratio, 0-60 mph. Moreover, record drag strip passes and even pull up a lap timer for track events.
The remarkable handling is thanks to a five-link IRS, and an electronically managed suspension. The Hellcat has three performance modes-Street, Sport, and Track. There is also the default mode that allows settings for suspension firmness, shift rpm, steering firmness, and level of traction control intervention.
