Watched this video when I was looking for a new car. I ended up with a 2016 Challenger SRT 392 in B5 Blue. Everything you said is 100% accurate and I absolutely love this car.

As a former mustang owner... 2010 mustang gt...one of my all time favorite cars _ about 50 cars by 47 years old.... When looking to buy another mustang, and not liking the new euro-stang, I stopped at a Dodge dealer. I never anticipated liking the Challenger, but I am here to tell you first hand that I was surprisingly impressed! The challenger felt like so much more of a car ....of what a muscle car should feel like. Heavy, tough, visceral. Don't get me wrong, the mustang is an awesome car, but after experiencing the challenger, WOW! My stang was definitely more of a refined feel-smoother and agile, quick...the challenger was raw fun! And the ride quality and feel was so much better - solid and sure. I was so taken with the challenger that I ordered the 2015 392 hemi shaker in a 6 speed manual. If you are a car guy like me, do yourself a favor and drive one - do a side by side comparison and you will definitely know what I'm saying. What a great era for muscle cars!

but its a fiat, just look at the interior, its nicer and more european than the mustang since 2015 ... besides, in the sales the mustang is killing it (to be clear, I like the challenger the most, then camaro then the mustang)

The interior is far from euro interior..stang sales are higher (trusting your claim)due to more women buy them. My buddy bought a 2015 Mustang GT and when he saw MY challenger, he was wishing he went with the Dodge...I've owned both, and the Challenger is superior in every way... hands down. Go drive them both and you will see!

OK I have been driving this 2015 392 Challenger hemi since June 2015, 8 months and 11,000 miles. I will tell you that white smoke burnouts are an adrenaline rush but then the reality of replacing Perrelli rubber sets in so I have disciplined myself to only do it when it's necessary...it never is but who wants to have fun? The HP, adjustable suspension and 8 speed auto shift pattern via higher or lower RPM shift, Brembo's, wheels, Harmon Kardon, intelligent cruise control, posi rear wheel spin control, nav, GPS, voice control, sinc, plug and play flash mp3, phone, blue tooth......holy crap I don't even use all this stuff but when I drive this machine every day 12 miles to and from work I feel good. People look and you can't deny the pleasure of this machine. If I had a hellcat I wouldn't use it as a daily driver just because of it's one of a kind but the 392 lets you have fun every day without a huge loss after a few years when you need a new one.....LOL Corvette love em, Mustang awesome, hemi fits me well.

WisdomFall I finally got my 392 Hemi Shaker car on June 13th. It is sweet and crazy fast. I have a hard time keeping it under 60. Only have 120 miles on her now, but planning a road trip in August with my girl friend. Plan on posting a driving video soon.

I'm really trying to decide between a Scat Pack Shaker and the SRT 392... Adjustable suspension and brakes are not important to me. What is important to me is which one is going to do the best straight line quarter mile. I would like your opinion... Thank you and keep up the good work...

SRT has bigger tires, which should help traction when you are trying to accelerate in the quarter mile.

Wider tires (275 vs 245) and bigger Brembos (6 piston vs 4 piston) are the minor bumps on the SRT that help with 0-60 and 60-0, but you are right, it's not night and day.

So which would u guys rather own a 2015 mustang gt or a scatpack , just wondering . assuming its a daily driver
@Ravaniscool
@Ravaniscool 9 жыл бұрын
jim bloushi I was going to go with the Mustang initially but now I've had a change of heart seeing all these reviews of the Challenger. I love the way it looks and the fact its way better bang for your buck. The R/T or the Scatpack are the way to go. I currently have a 2014 Jeep with a 5.7 Hemi and that is no slouch either. This car would be an addition.
@musclecarfan245

+Ravaniscool I think the best choice would be a 2014 srt8 or 2015 scatpack.
@mr.boostang2064

I love mustangs but if a rich guy told me to choose one for keeps I would take a base 392 scat pack challenger r/t over a fully loaded mustang gt any day. I had a 04 mustang and after test driving the newer muscle cars I settled for a challenger r/t for its comfort and quality feel over the other cars, plus the 375hp-410tq 5.7l ain't as weak as many people think it is.
@musclecarfan245
@musclecarfan245 9 жыл бұрын
ya they are both beast man stephen king i just thought that the rt scatpack would be more comfortable and as fast + don't forget the freakin old muscle car look factor thats a plus.
@mr.boostang2064
@mr.boostang2064 9 жыл бұрын
I agree with u 100%, the scatpack challenger would be better then the mustang in everyday life and be as fast or faster and it looks like a complete beast. That 485hp n/a hemi makes me want to trade in my regular r/t for a scatpak or srt8 392 :) maybe next year tho wen prices go down a bit.

+Tomas Nordin the MDS only comes on in very stable conditions anyway, like if you're cruising on the highway at one speed. It's also the only thing that keeps the MPG's in the 20's if you use it as a daily driver.

is that all I hate the mirrors I had to put a magnified one on passenger side cause of major blind spot im driving in nyc u need to be able to see. I have a manual n u would b outraged at what they did. its called skip shift. so when your dash says 1 to 4 shift and you go to fourth unless u wind out to like 6500 rpm n ur car is screeming to shift you will bogg then you have to shift to 3rd then back to 4th if you try to shift to third it blocks you, you have to at least touch the contact on 2nd in order to swith to third. I put in a short throw shifter which helped but not solution. there is an aftermarket skip shift deleate kit but its not a mopar product and they frown down on that. it also has hill assist. when ur on a hill it will hold your brakefor like 10 seconds. this helps burn your brakes. I had it turned off. shit if you don't know how to drive stick you shouldn't have one. the windows in the back are blacked out about 1 inch all around giving me less vision to look over my shoulder to see out that window. I left my door in the garage open one day and when I saw no light in the car on I thought battery was dead car turned itself off but when I left my trunk open that light killed my battery. I dislike all dodge rims n went with super snake chrome rims the r/t I had were plastic coated chrome rims. I dislike that it did not come with cold air intake or functioning hood scoops . the scoop inserts should have been chrome. the 09 model did not come with a spare just some fixa flat and an air pump. newer models do have a spare so I bought a steel rim from dodge that was an 18 inch rim from the r/t mine has 20s also r/t the rim only fits the back so if I get front flat I have to take tire off back put it on front then put spare on back. the interior noise from the road when window is open is horriable drowns out the radio. automatic 5.7 has multidisplacement engine which I didn't like plus I like manual. I was told with a diablo trinity t1000 you could turn off the multidisplacement if I knew that I probally would have went automatic. in the winter I have to warm up the car and like to keep it reving a little higher but the gas peddle being electronic makes it difficult. I am an old school car guy and could not wait for this car to come out. it looks like you have the same radio touch screen I do on the right there is a button that says nava that's the navigation but you have to pay for it. it gave me wrong directions thank the lord I knew where I was going it told me north when it was supposed to be south. theres to much electronic bullshit for a mussel car. man I could go on n on. I have a 70 cutlass convertible. I wish the cash I spent on this car went towards that car. or any older car I got rid of my hurst olds 1979 for this worst thing I ever did

You pay that much for fuel because your country ties all of its free welfare programs to fuel cost. Well over half of your cost of fuel. So much for the FREE programs. Your country takes from those that have earned it, and gives to those that have not, ha ha.
