I bought my iMac with the 27" 5K retina display and it really brings the cars to life when they are done in 4K. Im guessing 5K videos are still to expensive still but eventually they will be more common. MOPAR 4 LIFE!!!!!

Was never a fan of the recent Chargers, but I really do like the new look of the Charger. 707hp is just an astounding number for a non luxury full-size car. And big deal if it doesn't have a manual. It'll put a smile on your face regardless. Wonder if Dodge will start Hellcatifying most of their vehicles.

Well.. From what I've heard, they are getting rid of the Chrystler SRT brand, and I believe they are doing the same with Jeep, or changing it's name at least, as Fiat wants Dodge to be the performance brand. So there are few options left to put this engine in.

I only wish there was a business model for a wagon! I thought Cadillac only had to build 4 CTS-V wagons to make the model work. It doesn't adversely affect Caddy, MB or Audi to do wagon or shooting brake versions (does it?). I wonder what the business model would require of Dodge to do a Magnum. I know Americans don't flock to wagons but the Magnum has a great following. Something to consider!

Most people that have them drive them on weekends only. If they tried to drive them as daily drivers they'd be in the shop constantly because they require constant attention. They are exotics and aren't practical. The dealers blow smoke up your behind and convince you about how fortunate you are to have a European problem like this because ordinary cars don't have these exotic parts and you're one of the lucky ones. I once told a Mercedes dealer that my family had European problems and that's why we live here now. It's the reason I buy domestic cars now too. Can't stand the pretentious attitudes and wasting all of my income on cars.I have better things to do with it that lead to a much better quality of life and nobody else needs to know what I have. I know who I am and it's private to me.

These Europeans just don't get what muscle cars is all about. Look people, a muscle car is not meant to get you those super amazing track timings as if you are professional race driver. It's meant to be BADASS IN YOUR FACE MONSTER. When you are behind the wheel of a heavy car like this, you feel a sense of superiority because you have car with tremendous power and weight, you feel like driving a huge pick up truck. For example If you look at an Asian man who has ripped muscles, very ripped, strong, does martial arts and very fast. And then look at an steroid freak American who has unnecessary huge muscles, he is strong as hell and slow at some points. But the American probably feel like a bad ass wherever he goes. Because you know nobody wants to fuck up with him. That's what muscle cars are all about. Stop hating, start loving. Have a good day all

Wonderful car but worthless without AWD. Same goes to the Challenger btw. I have the 2014 Shelby GT500 and the story is similar, wonderful sound and engine but lousy traction. Not everybody wants to go to the dragstrip. First thing I had to do was to get rid of the lousy Goodyear semi-slicks which only rock if they get very warm, which happens rarely in regions with average temperatures below 70°F. Still waiting for a Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat but so far, it doesn't look that way. What a shame.

I don't understand what US car manufacturers are trying to achieve with this crazy power race. They're appealing to a minuscule minority with this car, while the vast majority of car buyers go for European or Asian cars.
@LlyleHunter10 жыл бұрын
I would say that the vast majority of cars sold in the US are still domestic. The top selling mid sized car IS the Toyota Camry followed by the Honda Accord. However the top selling vehicle is still the Ford F-150 and there are still many top selling US cars. Toyota about 333,498 people worldwide and about 30,000 in the US including production lines, administration and dealerships while GM alone employs 219,000 employees and still holds about 20% of the US car and truck market. Ford claims that 56,000 employees work on their US assembly lines alone. Their 2013 US Market Share was 7.8. Toyota's 2013 US Market Share was 14% Chrysler's share is 11.3% but growing. They employ 74,000 people.
@MrKeyboardCommando10 жыл бұрын
Bruce Solomon Well, as far as I can ascertain, not having personally counted them, of the top 20 cars, 15 are foreign. Therefore, I'd say the majority of cars sold in the US are not domestic.

American car manufacturers wants to go back to the top as they were in the in the past! now Cadillac is cooking high end luxury car to compete the the big once but with the American way and Dodge well they're under Fiat umbrella so they don't have to worry about EPA BS so they're making what best they make and get their name back with a fucking fastest,most powerful sedan in the world that are 'Murican hybrid (burn gas + tires) and well GM is stuck with recalls but is BMW and many other great brands! mean while they've improved their products really well Corvette was meh but now Holly shit,just wait for Mid engine C8...Ford i'm not sure. but having more power,better build quality,top notch Gearbox,infotainment and under rated 707HP with 100k miles warranty for cheap! i mean dude this is the best of all the times i can think of. ohh German are calm now but i'm pretty sure BMW wants the get their title back as the world's fastest sedan. I'm having a hard time with why? On this car. That's a hell of a motor, I'll give it that. But this isn't the 1990's. Turbo small displacement rules the day. This motor is I'm guessing around 7 liters or so right? 707 horse, supercharged. Honda was building 100hp per liter cars na in 1990. So its just another big lazy motor like the viper. That's another thing I don't get, the viper is trash, I've driven them old and new at California speedway, and I don't like them. That feel like a tractor on meth. This I'm guessing probably drives like a 4 door viper. Its ugly as sin, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I won't try and make an argument there. Gas mileage will suck. Comfortable will probably suck, interior fit and finish will probably be more alpha then dodge, but will probably suck. I doubt you will get anything on resale and this won't be a Shelby in 25 years as far as a collectors car. Maybe some grey hair old man trying to pick up women half his age will buy this. Probably a couple of spoiled jock highschool kids will convince Daddy to buy one, but really I'd be surprised if they sell 6000 before they disappear into remember when land. A rental, I'm with that. I would rent one for a day. But really there are already better choices. To each their own, but I don't see why?
@MultiJackSC10 жыл бұрын
Its 6.2 liter displacement so around 115 hp per liter. Honda has never made a car that can come close to this. This is not a viper as he so clearly stated, this isnt designed for the track like the viper was. What sedan is better or $60,000, certainly not a honda. Ofcourse the gas mileage would suck, you dont buy it to be fuel efficient and hold the tires for 60k miles
@EdwardFeenman10 жыл бұрын
Supercharged right? So I don't see how you can argue that 115 HP per liter in this dodge comes anywhere near Hondas 112 HP per liter naturally aspirated in the s2000 or the 100hp per liter in the type r. Two totally unrelated things. 6.2 liters. So you think that they could get 620hp out of this car without the blower? For 60k if you want a car with 4 doors and only want to use it to blow tires, yeah then this is the car, but for the same money there are well tons of options for better cars. So yeah its cool to have 700+ HP. I'm sure you can impress the shit out of some highschool kids or something with it. I'm only saying that I wouldn't buy one, but yeah, I might rent one for a day.

Have you ever driven a type r integra? Pick any tight, twisty race course and I bet they run pretty close, yeah you got tons of balls in that hell cat, but the type r was built right. No wasted weight, perfect balance, exceptional brakes and trans. I actually want to check some lap times now because I bet the type r is tight on top of any time set by a hellcat. On the straights, OK well the hellcat has a 500hp advantage, but that extra heft will play against it in a tight course. Eh, to each their own, but I would rather have a factory perfect type r integra then I would a hellcat, and in 20 years I have a feeling the old Honda will be worth a not more.
@enntense10 жыл бұрын
Edward Feenman I can guarantee on my daily commute with both of us on the on ramp looking at one spot to merge on to the free way, I in the Hellcat would get that spot. And that...Is what owning a car like this is about. Love the design language in the front. Powerful car but no MT option is just crazy. Since no MT was a marketing decision it's telling me that Americans don't want to drive manuals. Not saying they can't just saying the don't want to.
@Sawashi3210 жыл бұрын
But the Challenger is offered with a manual.
@galist4lyfe10 жыл бұрын
Nαтѕυ Dяαgиєєℓ dude please tell me that you don't believe that. it's a marketing decision not a production decision. they could put an MT in it if they want to. marketing is all about recognizing your niche and selling. it's a money decision. I love the car because it's gorgeous and if they don't offer MT then it's up to them because they're the ones that make it. that representative make it sound as if it would cost them thousands of dollars and time extra to put an MT and the car has to be design different.
