2015-2018 Generation (GEN 2) Chevy Colorado/ GMC Canyon 4x4 KSP leveling kit review. It wasn’t too bad putting on, and it achieved the look I’m going for.

I love the way this video, starts, I'm off work for a few days because I got covid. So naturally the best way to kick covid is by staying home and installing a suspension lift on your truck. Now I know what some of you are saying, "well I just stayed home in bed trying to get some rest, but it was only because I didn't have a truck to lift or I would probably have done that too." And others are saying, " l did the stay in home bed thing too but that's only because my truck is already lifted." Excuses, excuses...😅😅😅

I just did this same kit on my wife's 2019 Colorado z71. The back shocks were too short, but the stock shocks off of my 2020 Silverado fit perfectly, so if someone needs shocks, just get them for a stock height Silverado. I took the bolt out that holds the bracket for the brake hose and the abs sensor wire, and that gave me enough room that I didn't have to pull the brake caliper off. I was able to get the bottom bolt in without coil spring compressors, it's a pain in the ass, but it can be done. I used a piece of gorilla tape and taped the inside bolt into the lift kit, and it all went together pretty easy. I'm a professional mechanic with all the right tools, but I was working in my driveway on a Saturday, it took me about 4.5 hours.

You have to do both sides at the same time, the tension will make it harder. I made the same mistake

Hey man, your suspension, unless airborne, will never be extended that much. Also, when you’re doing suspension work, make sure to take the sway bar into consideration. It will apply a ton of pressure on the other side. Do both sides at the same time…. But hey, I’ve broken a few things in my time. Like a lot! Lol. Nice truck! I got a 2022 Colorado a few months ago.

I had the truck about a year after putting the lift on before trading it in for a sierra. For that year it was great!

I had Titan 1.5” wheel spacers on my Colorado with I think 265-65 tires if I remember and a Zone 1.25” level kit. That configuration I think looked ok but I knew I wanted something with a better stance. So I upgraded to adjustable Bilstein 6112 (max settings) front and 5100 rear with a 1” lift block. I managed to fit 275/70 but had to make some minor cuts on the truck to get the tires to fit but still rub if I take a turn fast. Lastly I upgraded the upper control arms to Icon to counter the rub on the spring and maximize tire travel. Overall I’m impressed with the work I have done to my Colorado besides the rubbing but got the stance I wanted.

Where did you get your wheel spacers and upper control arms? I’d be interested in getting those for this truck!

@@roywalker270 the wheel spacers I got from Amazon and UCA from I think Peak suspension but I looked al over the internet to find the best deal on them.

@@roywalker270 I went with the Icon UCA to upgrade the ball joints as well because I upgraded to a larger tire and the factory ball joint turned into a noodle so it was time to replace them. Also look into changing the lower ball joint as well i put MOOG heavy duty lower ball joints from Orileys because those also work out as well.

Hi Lewis, this is the stock tire, but I think I can go up to a 31” tire. I have not yet changed the upper A arm, when I do, I’ll surely make a video on that. Please subscribe and hit the notification bell so you can see the other videos I make on this truck.
