2015 GMC TERRAIN No Crank....No Start Issue...1 Click...Fixed...

Car was left parked for a little while. Would not start afterwards. Would not Crank at all. Tried to start it at least 10x and it would not Crank. The car had electricity. Everything else worked normally. Radio turned on immediately. Remote a n.v power doors were working. Checked battery, fuses, relays, negative line etc etc...

Okay 2013 GMC Terrain SE I was having ignition problems at first.I thought it was the starter so I got my starter check it was good put a new battery in put a new alternator in still no cranking just my ignition panel was glowing up everything works as it did just starter problems is what I thought come to find out my key fob was messed up they reprogrammed it my car started immediately so therefore there was no problems with it other than the key fob. My problem was the key fob sensor. Costs me 500 dollars, it's worth it. Just make sure you do the steps, check the battery if it's good, if not check the alternator, starter, then do the key fob sensor.

I just had the exact same problem this guy had with my Terrain. I’m so glad I looked in the comment section and saw your comment, because I hadn’t even considered the keys being an issue, because I just replaced them last year because the old fob keys both broke. Turns out the key I was using didn’t work anymore. Tried out the other key and it started right up! Looks like I’ll have to replace the key again, but that’s much easier than about anything else lol. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME watching this video and TRY THIS 1ST= if you Switch to on and see this symbol 🔐🚗 on your dashboard it's a key fob, security, or fob relay issue. *Try changing the KEY FOB BATTERY FIRST!* Yes the key fob will prevent the car from turning over at all! You need a *CR2032 BATTERY* for your key fob. ITS *WATCH SIZED,* FLAT, AND ROUND ABOUT THE SIZE OF A NICKLE ONCE you've replaced the battery & it still doesn't work do the following: (This is also the directions to programming a key. You're basically resetting and pairing the key all over again due to the key fob malfunctioning. It's a security feature that keeps other keys from starting your car) MY 2013 TERRAIN did the same thing. It was the key fob. directions here: 1. Get in your truck R(roll down windows if hot as you may have to do this 2 times. 2. Keep key in your hand but lock the door MANUALLY 2 times 3. Unlock the door ONCE MANUALLY. 4. Put key in ignition do *NOT try to crank.* 5. Turn the key to the ON POSITION *NOT ALL THE WAY LIKE CRANKING IT* but switch it to on or to the 1st position/1st click for 10 seconds 6. Switch back to off 7. Repeat step five but *do NOT try to crank.* 8. Switch back to off. 9. Time to try to crank. Try to actually crank the car. The sensor that indicates a security issue, car with lock symbol, 🚗🔐 will be lit if the issue is a dead key fob battery or a malfunctioning key fob. Get a new battery for you key fob if the symbol appears when swutched to on. 🔑 🚗 🔐 What you're doing is actually reprogramming the key fob this way. So if this doesn't work and you see the 🚗🔐 symbol there maybe a relay issue with your key fob & car. Let me know if this helps or not. So mine had this problem what causes this problem is corrosion on the plugs of the wires to the computer, and any components that cranks the vehicle at least that’s what my bill says from Chevy dealership where I just picked up my ride
