I test drove Hyundai i20 Active 1.2 Petrol Variant twice and found that even in 1st gear, you can move the vehicle by releasing the clutch alone (like we do in Diesel cars) from Idle, unlike Elite i20 which remains stand still & always needs a accerelator input for a move on. When I test drove elite i20 petrol, it tends to stall on speed breakers & inclines in 1st gear if accerelator is not pressed. i20 Active is good on Brakes too unlike elite i20 petrol which has so many complaints of brake becoming hard (ABS kicking in too early) and unable to apply brakes especially in low speeds. i20 Elite Diesel brakes are spongy (takes longer to stop) and need to press harder for a estimated stop.

Highly Disappointed with i20 active in terms of pricing. The top diesel model will cost more than 10 lac. Spending this much amount on a hatchback doesn't look like a good decision. The interior color also disappoint a lot. Blue color interior looks really bad although black is bit better but nothing compare to the i20 Elite. not much of changes has been done in terms of few which doesn't make any sense spent 90,000 more on top most variant. I was waiting for this since Feb beginning in the hope that i will get something really good but after seeing i20 active i would still prefer to go with i20 elite.

Exactly. I don't understand how autocar is saying it's hard to resist when you have to spend close to a lac more than elite, when the agree the performance is same. The DRLs and Projectors are the only value adds, and I am hearing that the same original set up can go onto Elite for 25k (this price will only go down) at Hyundai Authorized SS

They have given lot to this car... I mean this is a great car no doubt at all, but the thing is that, there are lot as of curves and designs on body panels which makes it looks like more complicated.......

Its better to go far a Fiat Avventura as it gives confidence for cornering at high speeds and a BETTER ground clearance and also it looks quite apart from its smaller sibling (Punto) which isn't the case with the i20. You get your moneys worth in case of an Avventura as its gets a lot more for the extra price. Not to forget the Rear Mounted wheel makes it look Stunning and added Gizmos for Interior. Plus anyone going for the top model of this car, I would request you to consider Mahindra Scorpio S4+ model.

The only caveat with Avventura is the underpowered engines for the weight to lug around. The TJet should change all that

The petrol i20 Active is pointless. The vehicle looks too heavy for the 1.2L engine carried over from the i10, and you can barely offroad on a FWD setup with just 110 Nm maximum torque. For its price, Hyundai should have given the petrol i20 Active the 1.4L Gamma engine (110 PS @ 6300 RPM; 140 Nm torque), and maybe thrown in an auto-box.

HI guys, i am very much disappointed about i20 active petrol engine, 82bhp power and onroad cost of this car, i am excepted atleast 1.4 petrol engine, instead this car i perfer to buy Hyundai verna standard edition 1.6ltr engine, if spent another 2lakh. but i impressed with overall design and specf upgradation. in my behalf please pass this message to Hyundai indian motor company, thumb ups to design, but on road cost and pertol engine highly disappointed.

I checked the car out today and it looks Awesome (with capital A).. somehow it doesn't look as good in the video.. the one I saw is white in color with some body graphics..
