Good, thorough review. Although there's actually no "base" trim. Just the two: signature and ultimate. (I point out, 5 years later! LOL) Just bought me an Equus.

@@sportsmaster68 My favorite car ever. My last favorite was a 2006 Jaguar Super V8. This is better in build quality and just feels like a step up. I have an electrical issue - something is draining the battery if it sits for three days. Otherwise, I've had no issues. Performance is fun. Jag was maybe a bit better, being lighter, but they're comparable. Wish it was the Ultimate, mostly for the top down camera view. Otherwise, I don't think I'm missing much. Adaptive cruise is pretty good. It's not a Tesla, but pretty good. Door pockets are useless and I wish there was a power socket outside the center console. That's about my only nit picks.

@david lewis what was the year of your equus.. how is it doing now..how us your leather dashboard doing.. trying to buy a 2015 with 65k miles what shoukd I look out for

@@pataiken6240 Gosh, I can't remember the year. I sold it mid-2020 after I stopped driving for work. Made a small profit on it, as prices were rising. Regretted it ever since. I really want another but used cars are still so expensive. Never had any issues with the dash - well over 100k miles. Just the usual stuff to watch out for on any vehicle. Nothing specific for the Equus that I know of. If you like a luxurious, smooth, blissfully quiet sedan for a lot less than most in the category, I can't recommend the Equus enough.

It's not a Hyundai EQUUS, because as of 2022, I can tell them it's the predecessor to the Genesis G90.

Test drove this car recently..and I was incredibly disappointed. It looks great in videos..but in real life it leaves a lot to be desired. Nervous & jittery ride. Plastic looking wood and cheap leather. Hard seats that actually hurt my back. And confusing electronics that are not ergonomic nor instinctive. A Hyundai Sonata feels and drives like a Mercedes Benz compared to this Equus. No thanks.
