Hyundai has released the series II version of the 2015 Veloster SR Turbo, and introduced a new flagship called the SR Turbo Plus. It features a host of new luxuries, and most importantly, a new dual-clutch transmission option. This is the first time the Korean manufacturer has offered a DCT for the turbo variant. But, can the new 'Plus' justify the $6500 premium over the base SR Turbo?

It seems slow but a buddy of mine (We live in the US so I'm talking about a US spec version) has one and said that Hyundai's go through a bit more of a break-in period, and that his car has drastically more torque and power now than when he bought it. Strange, maybe they don't make full power for the first couple months

got 1.love it.drove toyotas for a long time and i must say I'm very impressed w my black 2015 v turbo.its not perfect but for 20,000 its one hell of a car.plus i just love the way it looks.i was a start to finnish autobody tech for a while so I've seen lots of body lines and i gotta say the body on this car is fantastic.interior,tech,engine,wheels and body are really nice for the money. go buy one.

Just seen a video on here some shop has increased the boost with a bigger turbo some motor work 475 BHP at the wheels. Said he can get more 🤔this is a fu$ken 1.6 4 cylinder! He's going for 500bhp . I know Blood Red Racing did a 500 BHP one.

I own a 2014 and the car comes very resonated. Once you install Short Ram Intake, Full Turbo Back Exhaust (Catless), Hot Pipe, Cold pipe with BOV. This car becomes amazing! Then add a FMIC, Catch Cans, new spark plugs and a Tune, and this car will be insane!

Because that is the European model. The Canadian and American models come with 201hp. I believe the European model is 184hp or something around that.

strker99 It's the Aussie spec one, 150kw (201hp) 0:24. If referring to the gearbox shift speed anyway, it seams a little sluggish for a duel clutch system.

Car Nut I agree about it being a little slow for DCT, but I compared it to its sister car (The Cerato Koup Turbo) which was tested on this channel in the regular 6-speed auto and it is noticeably slower at shifting, but it still got 7.1 seconds which doesn't make the DCT much better.

I tested a used 2015 veloster Turbo a week ago I was very disappointed, it did't feel quick and the exhaust had resonator tips that make it louder than it should be. I tested a Forte Koup with the same engine that day and if felt faster. In the end I bought the Koup but I missed how good the Veloster looks :-(

Adam Jones it has a 1.6 engine in genuis. it compares with things like the Ford Fiesta St, Peugeot 208 gti etc, and it's just as fast if not faster than all of them. You need to maybe go listen to how a Turbo sounds again
