Serious question: have you encountered the “melting dash” by chance?? My 2008 Altima coupe had this condition, and apparently some of the G37 models did as well. Evidently, Nissan used a rubber compound that was not suitable to high temperature environments, and so the dash on some cars that had this rubber compound developed a shiny appearance, as if wet, but when touched, sticky, and I even accidentally pulled chunks of the dash out with my fingernails. It was nuts, I had never experienced anything like this before until then. I wound up just ordering a dash cover from Amazon so I didn’t have all this glare from it driving down the road. This is one of the few things that has kept me from buying a used G37 Coupe. I know they’re fantastic performance GT cars, but after going through that fiasco, I never want to go through it again

Can you please compare the experience coming from an E46 M3 versus the G37? Interior, build quality, performance, price reliability
@derekstephens8340 Жыл бұрын
M3 wins the interior and build quality slightly. M3 also is performance monster so another check mark. Price and reliability are won by the G37. 2 different vehicles but both good buys.

Just found a '13 G37x coupe in what I can only say is nearly new, even with 88K miles. All service done at the dealer, never wrecked, always local, it was a lease then purchase with the original owner. Just shocking that it's just under $15K and has both remotes and the original emergency key as well as books. These cars are around and just so cheap for what they are, and originally seemed to be mostly dealer serviced and well cared for. If you find a good one, try not to pass it up. This one was literally just posted the day before I put a deposit on it, the dealer hadn't even had time to presale service and inspect, so I'm waiting for that to be done. I'm excited to get my hands on it.

If going aftermarket, avoid the SPC upper control arms. They creaked a bit on my G37 and it was very confusing for techs to adjust alignments with them. One place lied saying the G was aligned, it wasn’t and cost me money in prematurely worn tires.
