Hi Mario, I’m going to be going through this process in a couple weeks, but have yet to find a good source for step-by-step process instructions of extracting the motor from the bay to make it a smooth process. Would be be able to share some tips or resources? Mine is a 2012 JKUR and I’ll be using the long block from a 2017 Grand Caravan and swapping my Wrangler upper intake, timing cover, two piece oil pan and pickup tube, and flywheel over. Thanks!

Hi Mario! Cool time lapse bro nice work! What was wrong with the original engine?? Don't tell me in cracked the oil filter housing and spit out all the oil lol

First of all, absolutely honored to have you check out my channel, and awesome chatting yesterday. Thank you! This engine was a flooded vehicle, there was internal rust and metal debris all over, the cams were all filled with metal, and pitted. So we told the customer, and told him that's only the top end, we still have to look underneath. It ran terribly a couple of thousands of miles after the timing kit was done, and it was "recovered" from the flood, out of the state, and we also told him there's no telling how the transmission is. Nonetheless, the customer went and opted for a Jasper engine with a three year warranty. Thanks bud taking the time!!

Flooded vehicles can be fun...and a nightmare! Did all the electronics survive? ASA was a great time, Mario, it was a pleasure to meet you!

No, not all of it at least, but according to the history, they did tons of repairs, including electrical, at the shop prior to us. I can see why, the jeep only had 14,000 miles when i got it. And even then i still had to fix a corroded pcm ground on it. ASA was amazing, and it's awesome to enjoy your company, your very humble, and extremely intelligent. I'm honored to have met you bud, hope we can do that again. Maybe even head over to Staten Island as a group😳😬

Yes a Staten Island get-together is a MUST :)

Hey Mario. I love your work and enjoyed your interview on automotive Diagnostic Podcast. I work with a mate of mine who actually put me onto your channel. Rob from Romano’s automotive in Australia and I might be doing one of these engine swaps in the very near future. Just wondering how long this took for you to change it over?
@SuperMarioDiagnostics4 жыл бұрын
Total about 20 hours. Thanks bud! Say hi to Rob for me
