Perfect truck for husband and wife team driving. Put up enormous amount of miles, make a lot of money and take time off anywhere y'all want from one coast to another. Nice truck however 2 problems 1. Weight. I bet that thing full of fuel and ready to go is 33-34000 lbs that's without trailer. Even if you get aluminum flatbed that's 12000 lbs even with 44 k loads you'll have to watch how much fuel you put in it due to weight. 2. Length. As shipper and receivers get more docks it gets tough to turn this big boy around

BoostedDeere I was thinking 22k when I was watching video, so I was thinking with a dry can, no loads over 35k. that said, with that wheel base, it's got to be something to back into tight spaces. also it won't fit in a truck stop parking spot, too long! I can see this truck hauling hazmat and explosives when you can't leave load till delivered.

Personally, I do not like the "wood surface" cabinets/doors. In a tight space like that I would not want to be surrounded by wood. I would prefer polished-looking surfaces, kind of like those you see in high-end RVs. Some of the drawers, especially the one for satellite receiver and DVD player, look cheap as hell, albeit unintentionally.

What a bunch of negative comments on here. Do you all copy each others comments? New price of these trucks is around $260000 depending on what you want. The cabinets are built according to what the buyer wants. No need to shoot the builder. A lot of buyers of these trucks are married co-drivers.They usually stay out on the road for extended periods. In general they pull light loads like furniture, air freight and jet engines. And the loads are always expedited loads. None of this kind of freight comes close to 80000 lbs gross. These trucks don't go in tight places. They go to airports and other such places.

a fully loaded trailer hook to him would have weigh less than 26,000 .lbs with full tanks of fuel to be just under 80,000 .lbs and the average empty trailer weighs 14 to 15 thousand .lbs empty, so the freight and fuel can't be more than 12,000 .lbs, a hole lot of small loads.

Just get a multiples endorsement and haul a mobile tiny home behind your cargo. I don't have experience so actual truckers can say if it can be made to work. I imagine it depends on available space in or around shippers and receivers and possible pre-arranging a spot to park it elsewhere if they don't have room.

It would seem viable only if you are pulling 27ft trailers for cargo and living. Otherwise, you would be restricted to very specific roads.
