2015 lexus es350 making a clunking noises hard to detect it.

Sunroof track bolts are loose and the body seams in that area are too close and they pop. We had to lower the entire sunroof tracks at Toyota on their camrys to adjust the seams/creases up top and reinstall sunroof to stop it. It's a major hassle and same with the similar model Lexus.

I just purchased a Gs350 and started hearing it as soon as i got home from the dealership. I can assure you IT WAS the sunroof making that noise on mine LOL. I was laughing when I found out. Now i feel better. I thought it was something more serious than that haha

Sunroofs and pano roofs can be a nightmare when they need adjustment. My old LS430 is quiet BUT when I open it the sun shade rattles from the wind so I never fully open it.

That noise is tik during applying brake or don't. If you apply brake make noise then check your bake pad it could be your brake.

This solved my issue on 2010 IS250. The gasket gets worn out in the sun. Replaced it with OEM gasket. Mine didn't look too bad but water would come into the trap if I parked outside on a rainy day. With the new gasket no water makes it in at all. And the rattle from the sunroof while driving or moving it with your hand is gone. Note: the four hex screws on the slider for the glass are really easy to strip because of the lack of space to work and how tight the screws are done from factory. Make sure you have fully inserted the driver into the hex head before turning the screws. This is difficult with some tools but a long Allen key or L key worked best for me.

Nothing to fix, sunroof are made to can little move by air pressure so for that reason there is little space. By the year the gasket seal by the sun, age, winter and dirty can become hard and so you can hear sound. Nothing is broken. You can clean the gasket and put silicone grease to get it more soft or replace it.
