I just took your advice and changed the front and rear sway bar links on my 2016 Lexus Es350 and Wow it drives like a brand new car. I currently have 75k miles and the mechanic said the links probably have been worn for atleast 20k miles. It's like I have new suspension, even the steering is smoother. Thank You sir for your video

Great video. Same problem. I had the clunking on the front driver side of my 2017 ES300h. The Moog problem solver looks like a much better quality unit than the OEM Toyota part. Kind of surprising. And yes, about $25 on Rockauto. Another surefire way to tell if it is the sway bar end link is if you hear the clunk on one side even if the opposite side goes over a bump. That will result in pressure on the opposite side end link even if that side isn't going over the bump, resulting in a clunk even if the side that went over the bump isn't the source of the bad link.

Great video, thanks. I just bought a 2103 ES 350 with 80K miles. It's a very quiet car but quite noisy going over bumps in the road. These are not popping noises - it just sounds like a cheap suspension. I just wonder if this is what the car is like or if the shocks or another suspension component might be worn. Thanks.
@apesintanks1623 жыл бұрын
Id start from shocks, they could be worn because of age without visible issues.

@@johnsullivan5101 ooooohh sunroof pop also exists on this model🤔 Heard that problem on avalon and camry, is it an easy fox or you also havr to drop the roof? Was thinking about purchasing 2017 ES
@johnsullivan51013 жыл бұрын
@@apesintanks162 From what I've read it's quite a job to take apart the sunroof. Apparently some rubber seals have a tendency to dry out. I almost never use the sunroof so this is a problem with no benefit associated with it, if you know what I mean. It's a really boring car to drive and I wish I'd bought something more engaging, like a Mazda 6 or something. Also I'm freaking out that it's really hard to change the transmission fluid. As a Scotty Kilmer disciple I'm supposed to change it at 80k (if not sooner).
@markg9993 жыл бұрын
@@johnsullivan5101 Its not that hard...changed fluid myself on 13 ES 350. But I do have a rattle when on just rough roads I notice that's annoying at times.

You inspired me to get a lexus. I recent brought a 02 Lexus Lx470 with only 140k. There are a few problems I need to get second opinion on the cause. 1. The car makes a cluck sound as it decelerates. It up shifts very smooth. Trans fluid looks good (darkred). What do you think the cause is? 2. This might be related to issue 1, when shifting between R to D there is a massive cluck or a kick. Your input on what the issues maybe will he greatly appreciated.

Stabilizer links are not that critical and you can get cheaply from anywhere. Even SKF sell it in about $10 a peace. For Struts, Shocks, bearing, control arms, etc. I will never buy it from unknown brands. It can kill you
