Lmao stop with the goggins talk give some credit to all these other machines who do this race and have no attention or hard ass attitude about it. I like goggins as much as the rest of you but there are so many other people here doing the same shit it's just not fair to only give shoutout to him because he's famous.
@rfjohns17156 жыл бұрын
You can see that runners can be older as 100 miles plus races aren't fast like a marathon & most competitors a very thin. It takes an incredible strong mind to overcome pain that is constant all the time and to start again when you take nourishment as your body is wasted.

How many calories would they burn in this race
@MedvedActual4 жыл бұрын
Figure an average is about 100cal/mile, so that’s 13,500 minimum. Given rise in elevation, temperatures changes and god knows what else the actual number is likely higher. The pace each runner runs at and ultimately the time he/she takes to complete the course are highly likely to be a significant contributing factor as well.

Isn’t this the race where Goggins had to quit because his muscles were so tight? Or am I mistaking it for another year. Or is this the one where he had to walk most of it?

+parsoniareigns why is it classed as the toughest footrace? how does it contrast to the m de sable?
@dollerup758 жыл бұрын
+parsoniareigns Not that I have done any ultra runs but I have watched many of the videos. The topic of what is the toughest race comes up time and again. Some define Des Sable as a guided tour compared too other a race like Badwater or Sparthalon. Guess it’s a combination of conditions like weather and elevation but also cut off times play a part. From what I have seen, the Sparthalon looks to be toughest race but as I said, I haven’t done any.
@thechosenone825178 жыл бұрын
