Thanks for your video, I have just purchased a 308 gt line 1.5 bluehdi and I am looking to buy some lowering springs and for them so your video has helped me to know what I’m up against as I’ve not worked on a 308 before. I was considering H&R springs as the eibach springs said 25 rear and 30 front so I was a little put off by that but you state 30 front and rear? I know the H&R are 30 front and back.

Great video bud, has helped me with mine, I’ve got a GT Line in white with a glass roof, loved it so much I got the majorette gti models bluetacked to the dashboard I have a problem tho, can’t get a Haynes manual and need to know the torque for the front top strut mount bolts, can’t find an answer anywhere, could you please share this knowledge with me :) I’ve destroyed 1 new mount and the other is on the brink of stripping the threads from over-tightening I also would like to upgrade to poly-bushings and coilovers, but have just replaced the standard suspension in the last 6 months so will get a little use from them first
@vmaxviking
@vmaxviking 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris. Yes its realy nice cars, runs great. Coilsovers are a great upgrade, the stock shoks are shit. Mine had big improv just with stiffer and lower springs. But the full set is top dollar. The 3 nuts in the top are 8mm. The spects says around 30 Nm. But its a feel for me. Dont power tight them, No need to.

@Chris-bv5db 3 жыл бұрын
@@vmaxviking thankyou so much, I’ve been having trouble getting that information, I love this car and I plan on doing a lot of upgrading in parts, could really use a Haynes manual for it but I’m having trouble getting that too lol 5 years old, all bushings are splitting, I’ve also heard of reinforcing the engine head, but that’s an expensive objective, again thankyou very much, take care of yourself :)
@Chris-bv5db

Hey again, had an issue with they bolts, tried torquing it to 30Nm but the bolt snapped, shows that the OEM top strut mounts are better, the aftermarket ones stripped the thread in the mount, the original ones snapped the bolt, I’m having no luck with this car, recently found out that the anti roll bar bushes aren’t simple to change, the bar comes with the bracket fixed by a metal plate underneath, I look forward to the release of ‘Any’ uprated parts for this car :)

Hi. It was very useful,thank you! Can I ask you a question? It appears in about 19min and 24sec of this video. Where do you set the trolly jack and jack stand?
@vmaxviking
@vmaxviking 3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I always use 2 wooden planks that i drive the car up on, this gives you better view under the car, then i have a small wooden plank 30x15 cm that i use for my trolly jack, you can lift the car on the panel under the door, use the wooden plank to even the load of the car, when you lift the car there you also lift the rear wheel. Alternative you can lift the car on the forwad controlarm, that is also were i place the jack stand. But be careful.
