- Once the operation is completed, you'll need pump slowly on the brake pedal a few times until feeling a strong resistance from the pedal. The aim being to bring the brake pads closer to one other.
- Drive smoothly and avoid sudden braking for the first 50 kilometres or so to avoid glazing the new pads.
- Make sure to check the stability of your vehicle before starting the operation.
- Don't burn yourself on the pads if you've just gone for a drive as braking creates friction and long-lasting heat.

For anyone attempting this You need a special car scanning tool to put the handbrake in maintenance mode. It cant be done through the car setting or secret settings. You can however leave the keys in on position 1 (radio and lights on etc) this well let you exit the car and leave the handbrake - it may beep at you though You cannot remove the keys as it will auto handbrake! Goodluck

I Have a 2016 308,and the brake piston won't push in,is there a possibility that i have to turn it and push with specific tool? And it doesnt have electric handbrake.

i appreciate the hazzle but so many things are wrong, you shouldnt pull the handbrake, and why would you, you are lifting the rear wheels right after, and you also are lifting on the rear wheel carrier thingy, which is specifically says right on it "DO NOT LIFT FROM THIS POINT"

RUBBISH ! YOU DID NOT WIND IN THE BRAKE PISTON WHICH NEEDS PRESSED AND ROTATED AT SAME TIME WITH SPECIAL TOOL.

Wrong. The rear on these is NOT a wind back type.
