Man mine did same thing I went got gas, rode in woods almost all day came down off long steep hill to the road next to my brother's farm luckily.. but check engine came on and it would start go about 30 feet die. Kept doing it till I got it to his house, almost didn't get it on a trailer. But The fuel pump never thought of that. I'm check it tomorrow I got a gauge. Thanks for video.

This happened to me yesterday. Did you fix your issue?
@Crider-ih2ir2 ай бұрын
@ChicanoUturn lol well.. I checked fuel pump pressure and sure enough was 30psi if I was lucky. Pulled pump filter was black. I haven't ordered a new one yet. Going to tonight actually. Planning a ride next weekend I hope.

@@Crider-ih2irohokay good to know it was just the pump! Ill be checking mines in a bit once the sun goes down . Im hoping mines the pump as well . Ive checked everything except the pump.

put it in Neutral, rev it to about 4K rmp and hold it for about 60 seconds and the check engine light will reset.

Mine did the exact same thing riding barely limped it back too the trailer sometimes runs good and then not, I have new clutches, belt, spark plugs, and engine rebuild last year I’m suspecting injectors or fuel pump will buy a test kit and test fuel pressure

Would appreciate any suggestions. 2012 Polaris 800 Razor EFI hesitates at 45-50 mph. 45 is about 6350rpm. Not really a sputter or cough. Repairman just cleaned throttle body and fuel injectors and said idle air circuit was partially open causing a misfire at that speed. None of the work performed solved the issue. One person suggested the primary and secondary cluthes might be fighting each other. Need to get it fixed pretty quick so we can sell it and move, but I want it to be right. I should also mention that it has full power no issues 0-45. No codes, no engine light. Always at that speed only.Thanks. Appreciate anything.

@@davepo6443 Sounds like it might be drivetrain related. How old is the belt? What’s the condition of the belt? The engine doesn’t know what mph it’s going and usually anything engine related throws some sort of code specifically misfire code. Also, does it do it with AWD engaged or without?

@@jawindustries Thank You for your response. I have some new information on the 2012 Polaris 800 Razor having issues at 45mph. I was asked if it could go faster than 45mph. Just took it for another test. As usual it hesitates at 45mph. I pushed it on a longer stretch and when it gets to 50mph it stops hesitating. When I get to 55mph it hesitates again. Top speed is 60 mph at a maximum of 6500 rpm. To obtain codes, one video suggested turning the key off and on 3 times and it will show a code. Didn’t see anything pop up when I tried it. I don’t know if this 800 has the ability to display any codes? I’d like to include some responses from folks kind enough to offer suggestions to see if it triggers any other ideas pointing to one thing. The spark plugs were replaced about 1.5 years ago. They were examined recently and found to be good. I still might replace them as that’s a cheaper item. I suppose it could be a bad spark plug wire.. or coil wire. Your thoughts? Suggestions: fuel pressure check, sounds like fuel pump, spray water on spark plug wires and coil wire, Fuel stabilizer, Belt might be slipping, inspect clutches and belts, don’t think its clutch related, sounds like clutches sticking, check belt for damage, weights in primary clutch are too light, was IAC mechanically stuck open or electrically being opened. Thanks again. I’m hoping this new information might directly point to something that I will try and tackle on my own. Taking it in is a last resort for me. I promise, to get back to you once I find the issue! Thank you kindly. Very much appreciated. Dave

This just happened to me going to check my fuel pressure. Same exact sypmtoms . What is wierd to me (10 years of being a automotive tech) is thaat the misfire is only one 1 cylinder thats what throwing me off ihave the same wxact codes you have same concern .
@jawindustries2 ай бұрын
@@ChicanoUturn I thought that was weird also but for some reason that low of fuel pressure only makes the one cylinder misfire.

Broh, did you rzr just limp? Or did it die? Mine dies while cruising low speeds and when I leave the engine running but there's no code or misfiring, mines the same year
@jawindustries Жыл бұрын
So when it threw the misfire code it let it go into limp mode. Which turned out to be the fuel pump. But then recently I had another issue with it just dying. No codes. Turned out to be the ignition switch. The housing had broken and it filled with dirt so the power on side was intermittent. Easy to take out and check.
