Remember kids, turbos and superchargers arent all for performance. They can be for performance, fuel efficiency, stock engine weight reduction (manufacturers nowadays use turbos so they can put smaller, cheaper, longer lasting engines in cars and not lose power),etc. In this case, the supercharger is for increased low-end torque for towing or carrying a load.

I am tempted to get the Manguson s/c for my '18 but it has so much power already and I probably can count on the fingers of two hands the amount of times I floored the pedal. The supercharger whine and noise and push is so addicting but I am hesitant to spend that kind of money to potentially ruin my truck as the tune has 550hp, more than the original TRD setup even though the blower is the same. Im about to put a trd supercharger on my 5.7 and was thinking about doing headers . The stock pulley and tune makes 505hp which is safe, smaller pulleys make 550hp+ which is starting to push it.
