I have a 14' Tundra with around 80,000 miles on it. I use it to tow my track toys and commute with my kids. In typical Toyota fashion its never let me down. Granted, there are some features I like in other Trucks but with Toyota you get reliability and to me, that's worth more than pretty lights with all the bells and whistles. Especially, since I plan to run the truck into the ground.

We bought a trailer and i needed a truck to tow occasionally. First, I went to Toyota dealer. I wanted a good truck, with good tech and preferably with 360 camera. I looked at Limited model. The payload was so little, no 360 view. And no discount, MSRP or walk. The dealbreaker was absence of transmission cooler. Then i looked at the Titan. But not the regular Titan but the Titan XD. Wow. Pro4x trim with premium and convenience packages. Blown away. Awesome payload, competent towing, great everyday ride too, packed with features. Got a great discount and cash rebate to sweeten the deal (way below Tundra MSRP). So far very happy. Time will show.

One thing that wasnt mentioned was safety ratings. Titan is miles better in safety ratings compared to the tundra. Something to definitely consider when buying a truck. Not only that but titan has zero gravity seats and better cabin noise reduction when compared to the tundra. Ask me how I know, my dad had a 14 tundra limited and now he has a 19 XD titan with the cummins. Way nicer truck all around, but miss the big rear window and instant throttle response of the gas engine. That's why I personally feel the gas titan non xd is the best buy. Buts that's not to say the tundra isnt a great truck. Definitely a reliable truck with amazing resale value. That's one thing the titan doesn't hold very well. Better to get a second hand used titan than brand new imo. Save yourself tons of money while getting a truck that will last as long as you own it.

Perhaps the higher end models would be more equipped than a higher end Tundra. Thinking back the only thing that the F150 had vs the Tundra when it comes to tech was that trailer backup assist system. Never used it so I cannot say how well it works. The tundra has adaptive cruise control standard across all models while the Ford did not. What forced me to make the change from Ford to Toyota was the 5.0 was burning oil. Around 2 quarts per 5k miles. I only had around 15k miles on the truck.

Gerard Arciga that’s what I’m saying.. the exterior is badass but inside no much looks like a Camry

To me the tundra interior is super tacky and just looks horrible.

compare at Nissan Titan vs Toyota Tundra after 500 000 miles and 750 000 miles. The Nissan Titan transmission won't last past 200 000 miles.

Not going to lie. Nissan has done a better job with their trucks in these most recent years but I remember at one point Nissan being the most shat on company in regards to trucks. I used to drive a 2004 Nissan Frontier when I was in high school and that sucker had transmission issues galore.

I would not be so casual about he shifting problems on the Titan.

I own two Titans..what shifting problems? I bet you've never even sat in a Titan.

Idc how dated the Tundra is, it's barely had any design changes because it barely has any flaws. I'll never trust a Titan/Armada since they have the habit of sucking in the catalyst from the catalytic converters and destroying the engine

I'm gonna comment before I watch the video the nissan titan has the better infotainment then the Toyota Tundra it's the reason why I'm waiting for a complete redesign from Toyota before I buy my next vehicle I would get the titan but there so over price
@jacobpoullath34784 жыл бұрын
Toyota has no right charging what they do for these outdated trucks. If they were as cheap or just a little more than they were when it was a brand new truck 8 years ago then itd be a great buy but with everyone else killing them in interior quality and design as well as just plain keeping up with the times in terms of technology and design its not worth the price tag on the trucks they offer.

The lemon 🍋 truck I was talking about was a 2004 Silverado Z71 with 170k miles on it. Ya I traded in my 2 year old pos Dodge Ram truck 2014 on a old 5.3 truck. That silverado was going to be my crew cap SS, man was I wrong, that truck was a money pit. Then wasted my money on a new 1500! God D____ 48k for a 1/2 ton !!!!!! Never a gain! Just get a mid sized one because then you won’t be disappointed. It would be normal that it runs and drives mediocre. If you get 1/2 ton today it’s like buying a minivan!!!!!!!!!!!!
