Hi everyone. Just giving an update on this job done a little over a year ago. Actuator still working good. No issues ever since. 82 000 miles on the clock now and running like a champ. I have flushed coolant and did a tranny drain and fill with genuine toyota fluids. Front Brake pads and rotors and rear pads were done. I am getting ready to do spark plugs, PCV valve and serpentine belt. Other than that very solid car. Thank you all for watching. Have a great day all.

Hi, thank you for a great video. My 2011 Highlander having same issue since I changed battery. Approximately 45 seconds delay on climate control,then I have to manually adjust everything. Just want to check with you after you change the actuator, did the climate delay issue got fixed with that or the new actuator fixed the cold air on one side issue only?
@SpeedyHaulingJunkRemovalTampa3 жыл бұрын
It did. The minute I installed the new one the delay was gone. Its been now like 6 months after I fixed it and no more delays. I start the vehicle and right away u can control my ac to desire temperature. What happens is that the electrical motor inside the actuator itself burned out and the blend door was at 71 degrees when the motor quite working. So every time when you start the car the ac cannot start right away untill a while cause is detecting a problem so there is that delay. I knew something was up right away cause the car never did that when I first bought it use. So I disconnected the actuator from the driver side, which is located right above the gas pedal and while still attached to the electrical connector I started car and when from heat to cold and mine didn't move at all. When I bought new one on Amazon for like $95 buck I did the reverse. I attached new one to the electrical connector and looked at it while moving the dial from cold to heat and it was working just fine. Its still working fine till this day..its been like 6 month now. Still no problems. Good luck.

I’m running into the exact same issue with my 2015 Highlander. Did you ever resolve this?
@SpeedyHaulingJunkRemovalTampa3 жыл бұрын
Sure I did. I bought the ac blend door actuator you see in the video from Amazon for $95 bucks and it took me less than 10 minutes to replace. Mine turned out to be on the driver side right above the gas pedal. 3 screws holding the actuator and an electrical connector. I made sure that mine was bad before I replaced it. I removed the 3 screws holding the one on the driver side while still connected to the electrical connector and I started the car. I then moved from cold to heat as I was waching the actuator move. Mine never moved so I knew that was my issue. Good luck fixing yours. If you have any questions just let me know.

@@SpeedyHaulingJunkRemovalTampa thanks this did the trick for me as well same exact issue. I got a quote from what is considered a reputable shop here in Austin and they quoted $2000. I found an actuator for $50 after tax at AutoZone and spent 30 minutes to fix it.

@@taylorclark5485 Was the removal and install difficult? The actuator seems way up in there above the gas pedal.
@SpeedyHaulingJunkRemovalTampa2 жыл бұрын
@@tradewinds2121 Yes, actuator is above the gas pedal and its a bit tricky to remove but not that difficult. Remove the electrical connector first and then three 8mm bolts and that was it. Hope that helps.

I have a 2010 venza it show the same part number, do you think as easy as your to swap it out?
@SpeedyHaulingJunkRemovalTampa3 жыл бұрын
There shouldn't be any difference on your Venza. Once you remove the 3 screws keep it attach to the wiring harness and try switching from cold to hot on climate control and see if actuator even moves. That's just to confirm the actuator is actually damaged. Please let me know if you fixed it. Good luck.

@@SpeedyHaulingJunkRemovalTampa Yes, thank you very much for all the advice here. I was able to replaced it with an aftermarket part for $20 and it work right away, however the installation angle is kind of awkward to get to but still manageable.

Ac Blend door actuator. Driver side.
@SpeedyHaulingJunkRemovalTampa2 жыл бұрын
Ac Blend door actuator. Driver side. Look right above the gas pedal. You can't miss it. Have a helper turn from cold to heat as you watch the actuator to make sure if it works or not before you do anything else.
