2 things I did differently: 1) Just ground the box to an existing bolt, don't drill a random hole. 2) Power it using an add-a-fuse on a slot that's only powered when the car is on. Much cleaner and easier.

Great idea to use Add-a-Fuse! Keep the wiring inside the car.

Now we are going to take our converter box and just throw it in behind the plastic panel where it can bounce around, rattle and perhaps wear on the wires it is dangling from.... NICE!

I had the same thought! I'll probably double-sided tape and zip tie mine.

Personally I would have double sided taped it, Velcro’d it, used 5 zip ties, and used a couple hose clamps as well. Wouldn’t want the $35 wiring kit “bouncing around” inside of that 2”x3” cavity…..
