So thoughtful. The only exception for a loud exhaust is so people can not only see, but hear you on busy roads. Awesome review though mate no bullshit, well paced and a demo.
@cheezyridr7 жыл бұрын
loud pipes don't save lives. it's a myth. the second you depend on someone else for your personal safety you've made a fatal mistake. if you know how to ride, and know how to be alert and aware, you'll avoid any situation where you currently think a loud pipe will help you. 100% of the time.

Great review, have owned my 2018 stryker for about 4 months now and absolutely love it. For any that arent sure, yes you can lane filter on Sydney roads on a Stryker, that's one of my favorite things about this bike, looks like a beast but is surprisingly compact and agile where it counts.

Great video. Beautiful bike! I’m looking at one of those for my next bike. They’re stunning. That’s a great looking stock exhaust system too. I have hardkrome pipes on my xvs650 and even though I like the noise, they’re too loud for anything more than a half hour ride. Ear plugs needed, after that. Smart move to keep those sweet stocks on there. I’ll think twice before making that move again.

Hey mate I took demo ride on 2016 today and was blown away with torque but was a little clunky in gear change. I am a big man but I’m only 177cm and not sure on comfort on a big ride as I have a Electra Glide atm. Definitely got me thinking on the Stryker for a different style of riding as the Electra Glide is a big tourer and heavy. Good review to mate 👍🏿

Thanks mate. The Stryker sure is a torque monster. I no longer own this bike, I sold it a few years back. I wasn't riding it enough. I do a lot of fishing and wanted sometging that could go on dirt. I bought a Royal Enfield Himilayan. 411cc. I miss the torque but love the adventure. My only grips with the Stryker was that it was a bit heavy on fuel. I was constantly having to stop and fuel up all the time. Comfort wise it was amazing, I loved it.

Cheers for this review of your bike mate, you're bang on with those pointers about the GV250 too. I currently own one and it takes a bit to start it. Once running warm its not too bad though. Pingin' down the highway to Perth on 7k revs! a good learners bike though I reckon! Like you said at the start, I too am currently scouring the net for the next ride, and I reckon you've pretty much sold me on this one! The only other contender (I reckon) is the 1700cc Kawi Vulcan Classic ABS, but im only a little dude (5' 7") and dont want a huge bike. Im all about customising though, and making a bike your own. The Stryker looks like a good base platform to start off with. P.S. Good to see you're courteous of the pensioners next door mate. I'll actually be in Wang in 2 months time anyway so I might hit up that bike shop in your vid... Thanks again :)

Great review, non-biased. I like the look of the bike, nice profile, the only cosmetic, downside are the exhaust pipes, wish they were lower profile, straight, "shotgun", style pipes, to be able to mount some decent hard shell saddlebags. I don't like the thin front end forks, either, would look better with outside fork tins, for a more massive look on the front end. As far as performance, STAR bikes are all very well engineered, and high performance cruisers, with lots of H.P. and torque, on the rear wheel and torque is the name of the game in cruisers, to get one down the road, effortlessly. Thanks for the review of this bike.
@robbiefishing8 жыл бұрын
+tomcata1467 G'day mate, thanks heaps for the comment. I have thought the same thing, particularly about the exhaust. I have thought about getting a set of cobra pipes, or V&H pipes. Matt black swept pipes would be nice. My greatest problem though is that I have elderly neighbours and I like to ride at night, so am sensitive to annoying, or possibly even scaring them.

Great review mate im also torn between the Highball and Stryker I just love the Highball I think its one of the best looking bikes on the road but you do raise a good point about the warranty and the price! the Stryker is great value for money. Iv got a vstar 650 at the mo and it never misses a beat. One question how do you find the handling at low speeds with that big rake especially coming from a much smaller bike?
@robbiefishing8 жыл бұрын
+noel neenan G'day Noel, it certainly is much harder to corner at low speeds than a small 250 with a shorter rake, but it didn't take me long to adjust and get use to it. Now it's a piece of cake. I can turn around on a standard road without having to put my foot down, thats normally a great indication. I hope this helps. I absolutely love this bike.
@KrazyPolak878 жыл бұрын
+noel neenan exactly what Robbie said, you'll get used to the rake in no time (and it's really not even bad at all). My first cruiser was a Shadow 750 ACE so my Stryker was a big step for me. I haven't looked back since. I love my Stryker!!

POPPASHANGO Thanks for the comment mate. I am a shade under 6 foot. I think I am 182cm. When this was filmed I was around 115kg I think.
