I still think that with all the money Yamaha makes,they should opt out and give the consumer what they ask for (meaning)if a person wants a high powered sled..give it to them,Boost it with "Boost-it" the only company in the industry with practical results."Boost-it" gets the job done with many repeat customers!!!!.I know I'm a Fan of top notch results.

might have 3 more hp than the 9000 but with a simple tune the 9000 can be 260hp. still covered under warenty .Yamaha knows this and hopefully is announcing a better wetup for 2017. lets hope!!!!!

Is arctic cat offering this kit also for the 7000??? I dislike the sound of a.c. 1100 turbo but love the 7000's sound. A turbo on it with warranty would be awesome!!!

Only the ealry 15s are the 1049cc the new motor is 998 not as friendly to turbos in the long run.

Just curious what makes you say that? They designed the 998 motor with turbocharging in mind.

@@jasonberning1086 You can ignore his comment. it is flat out incorrect in many ways. The 1049 is alive and well and still in the vipers even in 2022. The rods were redigned in 2016 to accomodate turbos. The 998 is the Winder engine and totally different and comes with a turbo. Sadly in this world far too many people who know nothing comment on things and are taken seriously. Don't be scared to turbo your 16 and ups. Although as torquey as they are I'd only do it if you are in the mountains.

Hard to top the MPI combo with Yamaha SR Viper.

I have the Hurricane turbo with a power commander she has 7200 miles on it and still kicks any 800 or 850 around whatever brand. Here its 2020 now. Don't think mpi with a factory tune can top Hurricanes set up. P.s. guy that built it has stomped newer winders with this 505 lb sled rather then 640 plus lb sled.
