I like what you did on the exterior. It's how you upgrade on a budget. Some people will buy a brand new trd off road just to add king shocks to it so they can add their 33s. If they want to spend that money, then let them. They have to liquidate stuff anyways to get those things out of their house. I prefer buying the most base model, unless there's options I wanted that cannot be added down the road like crawl control, or a 4 wheel drive. I have an 04 SR5 prerunner with a 2.7 2x4 and I know it will never be a TRD off road v6, but after replacing the aging suspension and adding all terrain tires, I've taken my truck off road and had fun with it minus the rock crawling or mudding.

@@BeanBag1202 If I had to rate the quality of these flares I would say it is a 5/10 for that reason! The flares bolt up but there is a rubber seal with no adhesive for them. It just "fits" along the flare, and I had to put crazy glue on one so it would stay and keep water out of the fender. Other wise they slip into the flare especially at the tops.

Thank you for the video. Are you happy with the access cab? I just ordered one and still am not sure if it was a wise decision, I barely ever have passengers and so I thought the access cab would be more practical and much cheaper. Cheers

I have a 2016 sr acess cab I've found a set of Bilstein 48510-04190 Struts and shocks but there are no coil springs will the stock coil springs work if I buy them

At 8:35 on your Lund Fender Flares, I believe you put on the weather striping wrong. There is only one way to install it, if you put in on the other way, it will constantly fall into the flare. I know because I installed the same (but textured) flares and they work great. I originally installed one flare and noticed the problem. I really am very happy about my Lund flares and had them now for 5 months and no issues

Mine is a white double cab and the back sliding window and rear windows were a tinted dark so im getting the front windows tinted dark to match. Professional done for $60 both windows.

You can easily find someone selling trd offroad tires and rims, I got tires and rims for $700 with less than 1000 miles on them just because people upgrade, also I hated the radio the sr5 comes with and found someone on ebay selling an entune plus for $500. easy mod it's just plug and play, I did have to change the basil around the radio because the entune radio is bigger, I love those finder flares, where did you get them?

exactly, i have a 18 SR 4X4 DBLCB V6 and I am on the same path. Got TRD OR wheels and tires AND Bilsteins from 1 yr old TRD for 600$ and Lund nerf bars for $60( local also ), Rally Armour Mud Flaps for $25 ( ebay ). All I need is flares and for less than a 1000 im in a much nicer better looking Tacoma that saved $8000 from buying the TRD OR in the first place! Also need those intermittent wipers, and maybe the Etune plus, but I want Apple Car play, for $200 I found a Pioneer 7" brand new on Ebay. Luckily the stock 6" touch screen is manageable for a while. SR is the only way to go!

Great vid, Raja! I have a '19 SR I'm slowly building myself. When you put on the TRD O/R Shocks, did you reuse the coil springs already on the truck? Or did you use the off road coils that came with the TRD O/R shocks? As you said, I'm looking for a more smoother ride, not a stiffer ride.

Especially the TRD rims and the Sport hood. Just an observation/question on how you snagged one bud. I'd love a sport hood on my SR.

Those are all terrible mods in my opinion. The shocks are the only "decent" mods but at the same time if you are going through all the trouble why not just get 5100??? Idk man I'd rather just drive a sr with just better tires.
