love this car i own an s60 t4 r-design 2014 and is very happy to drive it and when he talked about the controls for the infotainment system you can control everything from the buttons on the steering wheel so you dont realy have to interact with the big round buttons on the center console

Another great review. The only thing I don't like with all Volvo's, is the infotainment system. The screen is pretty small and hopefully they'll improve in the future.

The S60 looks dynamic and solid and classic timeless at the same time :) You should testdrive the V60 Cross country with D4 AWD :) Very good review, i agree with you about the nice details in the interior :)

I have the 2016 T5 awd inscription It has extra legroom a longer wheelbase a five cylinder engine I will drive in Turbo and it’s the nicest car I’ve ever drove I also upgraded the intake manifold and all kinds of stuff it’s a bad ass car

Very interesting review, thank you. I have a V60 D4 R-Design with Geartronic. Two quick notes: (1) the Geartronic box, which I agree is excellent, is supplied by Aisin-Warner, I think, not ZF; (2) you can operate the satnav without having to reach down to the centre console, as you can use the thumbwheel and exit button on the right-hand side of the steering wheel.

MrCarGuy20 Thanks! In this case, the Geely buyout (2010) happened at quite the same time the S60 2nd generation was introduced. Dont think they had any effect on that one, but maybe the better money situation made the facelift possible in 2013 :)

***** In reality, Geely (or any other financial investors) don't have any input on the development at all. Of course, this platform was designed under the last Ford days but, Geely has provided more monetary investment in the betterment of Volvo's vehicles. This is why the designers and engineers now have more freedom to act as they want, and less corporate pressure. You will notice there are leaps in technology development and material quality post-2010.

Great review, I agree about the alloys, they should be at least 18 inch, def gof ro the Rline, as for the gearbox Volvos are known to have stiff gearboxes, I dont like the Sat nav i think you need a better way of changing settings whilst driving. Seats are great. Keep up the good work!!!

let me have a wild guess, Thomas. the thing you most hate about this S60 is the long gearshift. it travels from Toronto to Sydney. LOL! and watching you sitting in the backseat causes me some pain. hopefully the Chinese owners realize Germans have taller average height and the next generation comes with longer wheelbase to compete with E-class, 5-series, A6/S6, and Lexus GS etc. leave the C-class, 3-series, A4 etc to the S40/V40. btw, i don't need these weird-looking (maybe) headrests cause watching your videos is always sooo relaxing! bravo!

Well, finally I can watch this review! I've been busy this days XD. As always, very well done. There's a little raccord mistake when your glasses mysteriously disappear when you go to the back seats. About the car, I think the front view is too bland, it looks more American than European to me. Even if the car is more in the comfortable side, I would say that some sharp lines, without going crazy, would do him well. Also, the trunk and the rear seats would greatly benefit from a new platform, in the fashion of the MQB of VW/Audi, it can make miracles.

pitthepig Hey! Thanks for watching :) Well the glasses werent a mistake because they were too wet to see anything through them ;-) Indeed the rear seats have less space than with MQB, imho the S60 is more a "comfortable driver's car"
