Thank you! This video helped me out a ton. The instructions that came with the cover weren't the greatest. I fallowed this video step by step and it really helped me out. 🙌 Note: I had to adjust my front rail edge measurement to the bed rails compared to yours. Because I have the Tacoma Trail Edition, I had a compensate for the tool boxes that are secured behind the bed rail which pushes the rail out another 3/16 inches. The measurement from the bed rail to the edge of the rail for the cover should be 2-7/16" for the Trail Edition. Not the 2-5/8" for all other Tacomas.

The Pro X15 will work with Trail Edition Tacomas. My mounting brackets came shorter than the ones in this video and will not interfere with the stock storage boxes that come in the bed. Just make sure you specify when you order a cover that you have a Trail Edition tacoma. I took a gamble and it worked out!

Great video Thanks. The kind of vague stock instructions got tossed as soon as I watched your video. I had to make a couple adjustments, the 2" and 2-5/8" measurements weren't super clear on where to put the dumb end of the tape measure, mine had a couple high spots I must've started my measurement on, I had to widen the distance between the tracks about 3-8" - 1/2" or so. Easy adjustment and then it fit perfect. Thanks !

I installed a Truxedo Pro X15 tonneau cover on my 2022 Toyota Tacoma with the 6-foot bed. Everything went smoothly until I tried to attach the cover to the rails. I could not press one of the ends of the headrail down enough to engage the clip that holds the headrail on the side rails. I used a woodworker's clamp to squeeze the headrail and the side rail together so that I could engage the clip. Problem solved. Tonneau cover looks great.

Question I’ve noticed the bedrail latches u use is different from the ones in Truxedo video..... why is that ..... the reason I’m asking is because I have a Toyota Tacoma and looking to put this actual cover on my truck ......

🤔 I was aloud to have one custom made for our 2nd Gen. w/ 6’ 2” bed Taco. Had to call the factory and very nicely beg. It should be here anytime and I can’t wait. I don’t care for the shiny vinyl ones and it’s worth the extra money for this material! 🤭

Question, I thought the foam block has to be place in a vertical position? That’s what it shows on the instruction paper. Let me know what you think.

Cant understand how the tonneau actually sits between the rails,even with adjustment screws removed it juat wont sit down in there

@@JohnnyJLeasure so, my best advice, make sure the vinyl cover part is rolled and secured by the straps, the solid part that locks in has two different thickness, the thin part sort of goes over the "front" of the bed under the window, the thick part nests into the rails. Do the measuring, try to install, if it doesn't fit just losen the hardware and then fit it, resecure hardware. Fine tune from there, with measuring and adjusting. The rails themselves will look a bit askew just because of how the trim is on the truck bed sides.

@@ThePinkPanth3r it seems like the cover sits at an angle so the locking pins won’t lock. Does the adjustments make the cover sit flush with the rails so they can be pushed in straight?

@@JohnnyJLeasure yeah. If it fits in width wise, just losen the hardware that attaches it to the cargo rail. Bring it up or down so it sits in there level. I'm not sure if this is at all part of your issue, but the rails need to be eyeball level with the bed when tightened down, they can kind of end up bowed in towards the center of the bed if that makes sense.

@@JohnnyJLeasure also I didn't need yo use a hammer to get it to clip in, but maybe mine is a bit lower or higher mounted than in video, it keeps stuff dry and lays flat though

Another quest is the weather strip u using on bulk head and inside of bulk head are they included within this cover or is that a separate item
