[2016] BMW 535d xDrive // 0-257 km/h (Vmax)

That was nothing near to excitement that this car has been limited at 250 km/h (speedometer 257), but BMW is really optimistic: 5,1 seconds for the acceleration to 100 km/h. Okay, here we got a very powerful diesel engine (313 PS) and a lot of torque (630 Nm), but also a huge kerb weight (1915 kg with no extras, and this car got some little and bigger extras). So, let's test (in use of launch control) if this time can almost be realistic.
To anticipate: It isn't. GPS tells me 6,0 sec. for 0-100 km/h and 23,0 sec. for 0-200 km/h. Maybe it is half a second (or whatever) faster than this, but that seems to be far more realistic in my opinion. It's quite a nice car with enough power and traction (thanks to xDrive) for all purposes. But, wait a second, the 335d xDrive as seen in my older clips was undeniably more exciting.

Hey exoroxx, ich muss wirklich sagen, dass ich mich sehr gefreut habe, als ich mal wieder ein Video von dir in meiner Abo Box gesehen habe. Von deiner Kamera-Positionierung über die Musik am Anfang bis hin zu deinem Fahrstil sind deine Videos wirklich eine unterhaltsame und, bei den längeren Videos, auch einfach entspannende Erfahrung. the power of 630nm of torque :), added weight means nothing off the line when you have that much torque.

1s slower from 0/200.....and 5s slower till 250!!! (comparaison with my leon 5F 1.8 TSI 242 HP) What's wrong with that BMW?

Sure? If I take my watch an stop the time, I'll get: 0-100 5,3 sec. 0-200 21,6 sec. 0-250 46,9 sec. Okay, that were only the speedo values, which are almost absolutely correct in BMW cars, while there is quite a difference in VAG cars like the Seat Leon 5F. My GPS values aren't really reliable. And then there is the matter of the weight. What is the kerb weight of a Seat Leon 5F 1.8 TSI? Right, 1310 kg. Versus 1915 kg of a non-equipped 535d xDrive. And there were some extras... And I'm not sure if there are really 313 HP working in this car. 300 maybe...

My time is: 0-100 6,3s 0-200 20,7s 0-250 42s Real Speed GPS at 200 km/h show 205 km/h so that's very precise on the Leon. The more precise is Mercedes and Citroen. I owned an Audi A6 which shows 13 km/h difference at 200 but it was year 2010, this Leon is 2015. I agree the mater of weight but the torque give capacity to accelerate. Mine is only 345nm VS 650nm for BMW. Moreover, the power and the torque erase the difference when the speed are high and it's not the case because i'm faster and faster with the speed vs BMW. For shure, this car doesn't have all HP!
