I,m 67 and just bought a low mileage 2016 because I didn't wan't GM's AFM/DOD. We towed our trailer with a side by side about 600 miles last week. I'm happier with this truck than any other I have ever owned. It pulls the trailer fine, gets 16 mpg while towing about 2000 lbs. I got 26.6 driving 55 on a level highway today. (not towing) This is actual mileage although the computer said 26.4. The only problems I see with these trucks is the drivers seat. It will separate where you slide in. I bought some seat covers. The other thing is I miss the sound of a V8, but I'll get over it.

Just curious, what is the utility of the remote start? I noticed you actually used the key to start it up again once inside the truck. Great vid btw!

Remote start is for when it is a cold day and you want to warm up your car before you get in.

When he was flipping through the info screen it said average fuel economy 12.4 mpg. My 2015 ram crew v6 dose better then that.

I thought I wanted the diesel forever, and I'm getting tired of waiting. Now I'm torn between the diesel price tag and the 3.6L. I'm not really a fan of the 3.6 specs though

I have the 3.6 with the Z71 package and it's literally my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. Throw your hesitations in the garbage and pull the trigger on this one.

Why is the Tacoma faster than the Colorado when it has more HP. The 7k LBS max towing limit is only for the durmax motor not the V6.

Not true. The Duramax towing capacity is 7700lbs. The V6 towing is 3500lbs. OR 7000lbs. with the Z82 Trailering Equipment Package.

+miner81 Tacoma. Trust me I wanted to buy American, but for best resale, best standard options, least maintenance, highest reliability, best utility and off road capability, is the Toyota. I wanted to buy Colorado/Canyon with diesel, but that power plant is priced so high by GM, I could get a fully loaded, 1/2 ton truck for the same money, i.e. north of $40k. I applaud GM for coming out with a midsize truck again, but it is priced way too high for what you get.
