I own a C V O Pro Street Break out and I did own a 2013 Breakout. This pro street out performs my 2013 Breakout in every category! I go around corners at speed with this bike that I would never make without my pegs folding up on the older bike. I did have a 117 kit and Bassani exhaust installed before I even picked my bike up, 113 hp and 130 foot pounds of torque! You had a great review but I do disagree with one thing this bike goes around corners as well as my if not better than my 2010 Yamaha Vmax did. Of course I have been riding fat tired rear bikes for quite some time and actually love the way they handle, hard to beat a 240 tired bike off the line! All I can say is that you will not be disappointed if you buy one of these C V O. Thanks for a great review!

Review is spot on. I demo'd this bike today. My Street Glide turns circles around this bike, but on the highway it flat out screams down the road. It does put all the wind right on your chest and the new suspension takes bumps with ease.

Thanks very much for taking the time to do this demo ride and review. The info you provided helped confirm my thoughts that the Fatboy S is the better bike for me. The real deal for me is that being a CVO, the Pro Street Breakout has already been customized for the masses, instead of me making it my own. Plus riding on Pennsylvania's curvy roads, the Fatboy makes more sense. But thanks again, Matt, greatly appreciate it!
@MattLaidlaw8 жыл бұрын
Yes, the fat boy S leaves you with something to customize. The CVO bikes basically do it for you. And, yes, it handles better.
@harleygrady50547 жыл бұрын
Hey Matt I had a question between the OEM Breakout and the CVO is it possible to take some of the better attributes from the CVO and say modify it to the OEM Breakout version? Like for example can you have it changed so that OEM has from the CVO the dual brakes on the front tire? Or vice versa could yu use the same tires and rims from the OEM 2016 model and have them placed on the CVO of the same year? Cause I love both versions of the bike but leaning more towards the looks of the OEM version in general. The aspects I love about the CVO version are the fob keys,the dual brakes,the gas tank and the bigger motor.

Have a pro street and am amazed at how WELL it handles. Watching the video, I was hesitant to buy one. I'm glad I did. It's very stable, and has yet to get squirrelly. I will say that it's frustrating to find a slip on or exhaust to match the finishes on the metal parts of this bike...

Glad to hear you agree with me, the kickstands on softails are scary. Most guys I've talked to don't understand what I'm talking about. I am very careful when I set the stand and leave my foot on it until the weight of the bike is on it. How long will it take for Harley to fix this, my bike in an '03', my brother has an '01' and it's the same. Like the way you touch on many different features, stay safe out there on those crazy freeways. If I had to ride there all the time, I'd quit!

Agree with all your comments on this bike! I bought one about a month ago and put on D & D pipes and had it Dyno tuned as well as adding windshield and saddle bags. Awesome power and style. Did about 5,000 miles country riding and found it wasn't for me and just traded it in for a Street Glide Special. PS I am 6 foot 1 inch and found it a little cramped despite the forward pegs. Taller riders may need a tall boy seat. PPS It has the worst horn I have ever heard, sounds like a scooter horn.

nice review other then you say the bike doesn't turn well. what are you comparing it to because i am an ex knee dragger and this bike handles better then any other cruiser style bike i have ever ridden and has a very planted feel . even with a dunlop tire the bike with a properly aggressive rider is able to have some serious fun on this machine. by the way i put 1500 miles on mine the first week riding it. :)

The great thing about motorcycling is its diversity. For the most part, the reviewer wasn't very impressed. But, there are other choices that might suit them better. I liked the go pro footage. Harley Davidson offers a lot of customization parts that allows someone to make changes to the bike that will enhance the riding experience.

I'm new in Harley World. Purchased my first ever Harley This year. Black 2016 Slim S. Love it. How is the ride on Break out Vs.Slim S?
@MattLaidlaw8 жыл бұрын
They are on the same chassis so they are very similar. Breakouts have a lot larger rear tire which can make the handling different. Also the rake on the front wheel is more dramatic on the Breakout. So the Slim is a bit more agile. The performance is very comparable. It's the same 110 Cubic inch motor. A lot of what makes them different is t he aesthetics.

At 5' 6" I'm comfy on all three. mirrors need to be farther out, I just see my shoulders. Also, exhaust sound on all the new bikes is very disappointing to me. V&H or Thunderheader are my go-tos. The speed screens are useless. I modify CVO Road King windshields to work.
