ah, justs...one of my favourite entries that year! i remember how anxious it was to see if he would hit his biggest note, and then in the final he did and i was so happy to see him do well! it also really takes me back to the baltic boys memes of that year.

Baltic boys ❤ Aminata was the girl in the red dress from like 2015 you were absolutely awestruck about. I commented on your review saying she wrote this song . This is what I'm taking about Latvians not being able to survive without the color red. There was also so many memes about Justs and his jacket, I think he wore it for 6 months straight lol. You'd see him with it in like every single interview and the carpet and just everywhere. Then when he finally changed it, it was the same style but in white or something. Gotta love him, my friends and I were taking about how he probably had like 10 of the same jacket in his closet. 2016 was a really good year ah :'(

ah one of my absolute faves, my 2nd of 2016 and another masterpiece by aminata! a little disappointed at how low this was ranked but top 15 is still a respectable place, especially with how latvia has done in the past and how strong of a year 2016 was! 💖

I actually happened to be on a weekend holiday to Latvia in 2016 on the weekend Eurovision was on. This song was played EVERYWHERE! I have fond memories associated with this song

I didn't like this song when I first heard it before the show, but it grew on me over time and I had it in 6th place in the end. The beat is awesome, love the dark vibe and I enjoyed his 'painful' live performance, he seemed really into it.
