Did you turn the key to run or start when you had your foot on the accelerator? Could you elaborate on the procedure?
@chedwells6080
@chedwells6080 5 жыл бұрын
That is called "clear flood mode" With the ignition off, push the gas pedal all the way down and hold it. Turn the ignition on and crank the engine. It will not start because the controller saw wide open throttle when it was powered up. He should have waited for the oil pressure gauge to go up during this procedure. That way he knows it was primed

I just changed the oil again, I undid the filter first, big mistake it poured out...LOL However I didn't have an issue at the plug because I cracked it and kept the wrench/extension there to slow the flow down.

Another reason to stay away from quick oil change places, including dealerships, is cheating, sloppy work, disrespect for customers car/truck and Charging like $60 to change the cabin filter that is $16.18 on Amazon. Last dealership tech/porter got grease on my door handles, steering wheel, hood, and let a plastic bag of O-rings in front of the air intake that caused a sensor light to come on.

Maybe it holds up, time will tell...if not you think it would be cheap it's just a plastic material. Should cost no more then $30. However it probably cost $300.

2.7 actually has the cast iron block. Ford called it CGI, some kind of fancy cast iron I guess.

These pans have been leaking like crazy on 2.7 trucks. If you search it, you'll find endless stories of 2.7 owners who've had their oil pan replaced 3 or 4 times under warranty due to leaks. Ford should be ashamed for putting such cheap plastic parts on these expensive trucks.

Because I have had dealers put in the wrong oil (My Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L was picky on that) and I have had my doubts of dealers even changing the oil. It's one thing shops can really skip and you would never know it. Plenty of KZbin news videos reporting on that sort of thing. It's not about saving money, however I do save time and hassle (and a little money) by not needing to run down to a dealership all that cost me extra to do. The local store is about 2 miles away and I can combine a trip to Wally-World with other needs. As they say time is money and I hate sitting around at a dealership wasting my time, it's not a pleasant experience at all. The only vehicle we take to the dealer is the wife's Volvo as we did a service plan...so keeping it for 15-20 years it will pay for itself plenty...LOL Plus it sits low to the ground, the truck is easy to crawl under, and pretty much only a few tools needed.

It is $50 now at Ford dealers, less if you can find a coupon but they have not sent them out in ages.

(Edited my Comment) - Just noticed you are a kid...LOL Don't even look old enough to be shaving. Thank you for your mis-information. Why do people like you give poor information as if it's fact? The cap and manual clearly state 5w-30 (I even went out and checked it to make sure). In fact I first bought 5w-20 and noticed it was wrong so I went back did a return and bought 5w-30.

5w 20 would likely leak and ruin the engine. It would be too thin under load. 20 and lower better for low power engines and colder climates though.
