can never get launch control to work for me. I am aware of performance mode and or track mode, in first gear , then foot on clutch to the floor . After that point i know of floor the throttle , but do you keep you foot on the accelerator fully until you take your foot off the clutch or is it just one pump of it fully to the floor, and then hold it at a certain RPM ? Have tried both and all i do is over rev the engine and nothing happens

See comment above and description in video. It's a VBOX Sport connected to the VBOX app on an iPhone. This is the setup we use for all cars we test. We don't normally show the iPhone display in the video but we know there has been a lot of controversy surrounding the GTS's 0-100 time - we added it in this time purely for clarification/proof.

alex jones I think even the older gen C63 was actually faster, but only due to GM's auto trans being garbage, and lets be honest, the dual clutch auto in the C63 would probably destroy a manual VF with every day drivers in it, that being said tho I'd prefer a Vf, with the price difference you could build that VF to completely fucking demolish an AMG. The older gen C63 AMG that came out to the similar times to the VF did 0-100 in 3.7, but with a normal driver and not a AMG pro driver in perfect conditions doing the times, it would probably even out or probably be slower than the VF actually, manual or auto, but after that I'm sure the C63 would start to pull. But again that's only cause of the transmission, if they both had the same trans the VF would walk it for days, but all that wont matter once the VF with the LS9 by HSV comes out

Nah man your wrong my cousin has manual vf series 1 gts and one day i was with him we lined up our mate he had a c63 then at a set lights once the lights turned green we both took off side by side, once my cuzz hit second gear thats when we left the c63 behind lol but your right their automatic transmission is pretty quick only for couple seconds off the line.

The VE series II model looks much better, the VF looks fatter and uglier, the next model = may be worse?! so bye bye HSV, I better save a bit extra money and go for the E63AMG or the M5 F10 they look and perform much better than HSV in any way yeah just more expensive of course because of the import tax and exchange rate. But anyway Holden gonna close its factory very soon so no Aussie built anymore. Dont get me wrong, I love Aussie muscle car too but every time the new model coming out makes me disappointed about the design and appearance.
