Down for up and up for down is how it's supposed to be... Like a manual shifter would have. The point is when you are accelerating, the car throws your body backwards and you would normally up-shift when accelerating, therefore pulling back makes sense, because that's where your body goes anyway. Same thing when slowing down + down shifting. Good review though! I love my 2016 Trailhawk.

As with all videos, there are differing opinions. Well done video. But here are my general thoughts. I have a '15. Have owned it for a year. I drive the highways on a daily basis. At 70 mph, it rides like a vehicle that costs 40% more. I have the Sport, 2.4l automatic. The only thing hard to control is the speed. It wants to go faster than the speed limit. I always have to use the cruise control. The shifting in manual mode took some getting used to. I had a 5 speed previously so the shift points are different. Once I figured that out, it was like driving a Mercedes. I get an overall average of 27 mpg. Have never been happier with a more capable vehicle. Snow? Runs through it like a tank. Buy a used one, save money. Other than that, best vehicle ever.

The 8-way power driver seat is fine when it is working. The FCA Italian SUV has a recurring power problem that prevents the use of the 8-way and lumbar functions.

This guy has no idea what he's saying I have a 2018 Jeep Renegade latitude this thing is quick off the line I find the 2.4 liter multiair engine very responsive when you smash the gas and if you know how to use the manual shifter it's even faster it handles very well for an SUV and I have no issues on the highway at 80 miles per hour handles fine very little noise and rides great and I get 25 miles to the gallon so I don't know what the hell this guy's talking about he only gets 21.4 that's a bunch of BS

Just got my wife a 2018 1.4L Turbo and 6-speed manual. We really like it. It doesn't feel like a cheap sub-compact vehicle... it has a high quality feel and lots of high end features. Haven't had it long enough to know what the average mileage is, but I guarantee it's better than my 4 ton Ram 2500 diesel 4x4.

In the fall of 2017 I purchased a new 2017 Jeep Renegade from a dealer in Anchorage Alaska. I live in a remote Alaskan town with the closest mechanic over 100 miles away - in Canada. I made it clear to the dealer I needed a reliable, sturdy vehicle. The car was fine until the temperature dropped below 20F then it would start - and immediately stall with a noticeable smell of gas. I called the dealer and he recommended using Heet and blamed the bad gas in the town. Heet did nothing and no other car is having the same problem. The dealer is over 700 miles away and I can't have the car towed back. There's no one to work on it here and the dealer is unwilling to do anything more. The car is a princess car - it'll only run if it's warm and sunny. Which means i'm walking to work at 20 below. Moral is don't buy Jeep and don't buy a Jeep Renegade. As soon as possible I'm taking it to another town to trade it in for a Japanese or Korean car. Something reliable.

what are you talking about? it averages around more or less, 24mpg. The average mpg of most vehicles is mid 20's... If you're looking for 30+ mpg you will have an extremely limited selection of vehicles. mpg isn't "killing" anyone unless they're getting sub-20mpg in the teens.
