One of my best friends grew up in Mount Juliet and just got a new F-150. I immediately wanted to get a system in it, but I am here in CA. and he won't be able to get to my shop. (We're a Sundown dealer in CA. and if you ever need anything for any of your builds, I would love to hook you up.) I referred my friend to your shop and I hope he gives you a call. I am glad I found your KZbin, it's a great marketing tool.

Forgot to mention, very nice work here man. What state you in? I’m in SW Florida. It’s hard finding good shop here to help. Been to 3 now with gallardo and doesn’t seem like anyone wants to help. Act as if they’re too busy.

Hey bro I appreciate videos. Wondering if you can assist me or give me some guidance. I have 07 gallardo spyder. I have a floating front Alpine with JL sub & miss/highs. I have 2 DS18 amps, one for each section. I bought this gallardo this way. I went to run some LED lights in dash. Tapped into cigarette lighter fuse via extending fuse/wire. I grounded to bolt in frame. Lights work but now all the sudden my subwoofer is no longer recognized by stereo. I thought well no big deal, maybe battery disconnect, just need reset. I try to go to radio settings and it says I need to be in park. I’ve tried everything… even half turn on key without motor running and still no access. I have no idea how this parking bypass no longer works. I tried removing alpine radio but man I am afraid I’m going to break something pulling it out. Between us, which I am sure you know, when I break something it’s usually not cheap lol. I checked all fuses, wiring, amps, etc. and have concluded it must be behind radio. Wondering if i pulled something loose while running wiring behind it. FML… lol I have verified both ds18 amps are working as they should. I still verified I have power to subs & all speakers. Just really need to access settings in radio to finalize. Anyhow I really need some help. I got a car show tomorrow at 1pm and trying to get ready. Sucks… Thanks again bro. Really appreciate feedback.

Question, why bondo vs fiberglass for contouring? Is bondo easier to work with? Also will the bondo hold up being there will be vibration from speakers and car itself? Project is looking awesome as well!!
@SoundsGoodStereo
@SoundsGoodStereo 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, bondo cures faster and is easier to shape/form after curing. If mixed and applied properly, it will hold up perfectly. Also the vinyl holds everything together, so it’s not raw.

@@SoundsGoodStereo whats a rough estimate to do this build on a mclaren 570s without the horns?
@SoundsGoodStereo
@SoundsGoodStereo 4 жыл бұрын
SHELDON W It can vary based on the gear that is chosen. It’s not too difficult to improve upon the factory system, but you could estimate $8k to $20k on average.

Just wondering why you went with a sealed box instead of ported?
@SoundsGoodStereo
@SoundsGoodStereo 4 жыл бұрын
Airspace restrictions. The subwoofers we are using are specifically designed for compact enclosures and will yield great low end extension. Another issue is the length of the port in small enclosures. With even a single 10" subwoofer ported, the port will be longer than the enclosure... So technically almost impossible to fit. We have a total of 0.5 cuft of airspace to work with.

Would you guys be able to make me a speaker adapter for a hyundai elantra 2019? I’ve been looking all over for one but it’s so hard since it’s a new car
@SoundsGoodStereo
@SoundsGoodStereo 4 жыл бұрын
We could make some for you or you can buy the pre-made ones. Depends on budget and quality you are looking for: These should be the ones that fit your car: amzn.to/2DNPXM4

Sounds Good Stereo How much would it be if you guys were to make it? Also if i do go with the pre-made ones, are you sure they’re 100% going to fit? I do know that the hyundai elantra 2019 interior is similar to 2018 and below and i know that kia and hyundai are pretty much the same company
@SeanOMatic
@SeanOMatic 4 жыл бұрын
@@JN-53 Don't overthink it much. If you can't find adapters, a shop will just take some ABS and cut something for you using the stock speaker bracket as a template if necessary. The adapter linked should be fine, as the 2019 and 2018 models have no difference in the speaker configuration.
@SoundsGoodStereo
@SoundsGoodStereo 4 жыл бұрын
I would but the pre-made ones and see if they fit. Usually our adapters are $85+ due to the materials and time it takes to make them. Simple solution are the pre-made ones. Want something substantial for a serious stereo system, then we could make you a set.
@SeanOMatic
@SeanOMatic 4 жыл бұрын
@@SoundsGoodStereo The last set of adapters I made were for an LS400 this week and they ran exactly $95. Was shy of an hour labor and I used 1/4" abs with a recess. For the quality of work you do, $85+ is totally reasonable. I do find those Metra and Scosche adapters will bow a bit and aren't the best when it comes to higher-powered applications.
