Great all rounder in the ute class with a great Diesel engine in the 3.2 and is proven tough in the real world, you can't go wrong with this unit.

I own a '18, 3.2, auto, 4x4. A good looking, very capable workhorse which never fails and never let me down. I even love it more now since the new trucks have little 2.0 pumped up engines with troublesome 10 speed transmissions for double the price. I am old school and I will stick to it!

To elaborate on Doom7033's comment- a long long time ago, chicken was expensive in Europe, but then 'Muricans found a way to make chicken meat really cheap, so we exported it to Europe and disrupted their poultry market. A trade war ensued, Europeans put tariffs on 'Murican chicken meat, and in return 'Murica put tariffs on vehicle classes that European auto-manufacturers were selling in high volume in 'Murica (aimed specifically at that iconic hippie Volkswagon mini-bus from the '60s). Somehow, trucks got tangled up in the vaguely defined rules, and the tariff laws applied to every country out there- meaning we don't get pickup trucks made by non-'Murican manufacturer's, unless they're a huge company like Toyota that can afford to build those vehicles in 'Murica. There's no need for the Chicken Tax anymore, but we keep it because this means 'Murica can jack up the prices on pickup trucks, and 'Murican companies have a stable source of income.

+rettfree I think is because a vehical that has towing over 3500kg would be classed as a truck here in Australia so you would need a truck licence I could be wrong so if someone could correct me would be good

That's the kind of truck I wanted . Can't get it ,we have huge full size double cab bus size things. You have many options . We finally got the Chevy ,what a stinker and high priced. Think it is different than the world model . Don't know why the car executives think they can sell plastic shit in the usa and make competitive cars and don't sell them here. I know I everybody thinks we are stupid but we do have the Internet to see what everybody else gets.

None copy each other. Neither the euro spec ranger or the BT-50 copy eachother. Now, the US spec Mazda B-series was a rebadged Ranger... Still not a copy... Mostly engineered by Mazda though... But no way would Mazda take the design of a ford anymore... Mazda has a pretty good design team
