A few facts for new 2016 CX-5 owners (If you are buying a used one) A. You have to pay $80 to upgrade your GPS Maps every 3 years though Mazda or just use your phone for gps. B. Keep your cup holders clean and don't store coins in the compartment hole next to the cup holders. Grease builds up in time. C. Make sure you close the back hatch, sometimes it does not close properly D. Replace all motor and fan belts after 50k E. Make sure you change your oil transmission fluid, If you never did Mazda will tell you leave it alone then. Then get a 3rd party specialist to do a workaround. Not Jiffy Lube. Invest in the $$$ F. After 100k replace the suspension. Order Mazda Genuine parts. If you order Monroe the ride will feel different. G. To replace the rear brake pads get a specialist. This requires a special task in replacing them. Reseting the computer, Etc. H. Change your battery every 2.5 Years I. After 100k get your oil change every 4000 miles K. If you have women in the car they tend to scratch the Glove Compartment with their sharp heels on the passenger side. You can buy one on Ebay for $100..The Glove Compartment L. Never let the front passenger put their feet up on the dash, the CX-5 has a beautiful interior, show some respect plus its dangerous if you get into an accident, M. Pay loading: When you open the back, fold down your seats and start loading up your car with camping, beach or furniture sharp objects, be careful not to scratch up your interior back doors and handles. O. If your Key-Fob says low battery get it replaced right away or you will run into problems. The battery is only $4 P. Get yourself a drill lug nut remover cost $85 on Amazon. Keep it handy in your trunk to replace that flat tire on the road. That crowbar ain't gonna help removing the lug nuts. And last....Thieves can see your belongings through the back window of your trunk. I suggest you cover all your belongings with a bed cover.

Bought the 2016.5 CX-5 on November 25, 2016. Extremely happy with it too. Great looking car and the gas mileage from the 2.5l engine is superior! Mine is jet black and I get a lot of compliments on it! Very little interior noise and as smooth on the highway as you can get. I am planning on keeping it for over 100 k. I’ve had this used model since July 2020 and I’m still in love with many things this vehicle has to offer. I love the blind spot monitoring and the back up camera. For a larger vehicle, it’s actually pretty fun to drive Something that bothers me greatly is the AC vents. The middle blows three times as hard as the sides and it is unbelievably difficult to feel the air from the sides as opposed to the middle. I’m in Texas so it’s an important feature for me Upgrading from a 2006 Corolla S to this was easy besides the fact that financially I had to forego a sun roof lol definitely missing that aspect of the Corolla but it’s nice to try different things

2016 CX-5 GPS PROBLEM Does any body know when Mazda will resolve the real-time "traffic update" feature on its new (2016) NAVTEC GPS for the CX-5? The option doesn't work (it is gray), so alternate route(s) are not displayed when traffic delays, congestion, accidents, detours, road construction, etc. are encountered on a planned route.On the previous CX-5 models (2014; 2015), the TomTom feature was called "traffic alert" and it worked (most of the time).

Not quite sold on this yet. I could almost forgive that "too long" looking hood area if this car came with a manual transmission in AWD and the 2.5 liter engine. I might be able to forgive the manual transmission ONLY being available with the smaller engine but then I'm stuck with that long front end snout which is two strikes in a row. I think Mazda should work on "Cab-Forward Design" with some of their newer models like the CX-3 and CX-5 so that the front end doesn't take up so much of the total length of the car. A shorter front end would not only add to interior cabin room but also give the car a more balanced appearance.
@tousshong94386 жыл бұрын
You're dead on about the hood being too long and not portion to the rest of the vehicle. Glade I wasn't the only one who think the front end snout is not quite there.

Unfair MAZDA, you have stepped in in the exterior LED lighting ESPECIALLY the fog lamps being LED what a LIGHT! WIth he exception of the rear seating non USB/AC ports or adjustable seats in rear its definitely getting there. Great car. You just need to replace the A/C Blower every couple of years.

Is it that expensive? I don’t know if I should buy one.
@ilmjcxj80644 жыл бұрын
@@karle0822 The OEM one costs around $170. You can order a good quality aftermarket one for about $50 to $80 from RockAuto. And you can install it yourself, just watch a KZbin video on how to do it. As I said earlier, the car is great and I would buy it again. You can buy 2017+ model years as the blower on those is not the same as the 2016 and earlier years.

KBB is supposed to be about quality. What is the matter with this man reviewing this? It is unwatchable.
